    It's all about the..................

Reports are that, after not wanting to even grant 'arry an audience at all to discuss a potential move to Loftus Road and QPR, Loïc (££) has somehow (£££) found a place in his heart (£££££) to not just consider QPR but to in fact sign (££££££££) for the club and manager which he would not even give the time of the day mid-week. What on earth (££££££££££££££££££££££££££) could change a player's mind (£££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££) so drastically? (£)

    Company car? No...
An impressive array of bond-like gadgets? No...
    Free cinema tickets? No...
    Life insurance? No...
    Tenure? No...

Hmmmmm.... Maybe he just likes jumping through Hoops, so wearing their colours is a treat?

Fair play to the lad I'd do the same!!! I'm sure he has family and freinds he would like to sort out and lets not forget the back handers Harry etc will have arranged for to ensure he tood the deal.

It's worth it for that alone then, the Odeon is getting expensive... The Gate's Empire on a Tuesday is the only time I go now!

Get DT a job as an usherette there, and she'll be able to get you free tickets.

Presumably, big Toon fan that you are, obviously, you'd want to play for the Black and White no matter what Harry offered? I mean, me as a casual fair-weather moaning type would chose smoggy London in a heart-beat, but you're better than that, I can tell!

If I were Loic, in my Frenchness I'd go to QPR, especially if this relegation release clause is true. It's win-win for him really. He gets paid massive wages guaranteed, QPR are all but down so if he shines for a bit he'll leave them for free and one of the better clubs will pick him up. If they stay up, then hey, more wonderful wages!

Harry will give him access to his accountant too, so after tax his £80k wage will come out at £80k.

ing It's always been about money! years ago clubs were out bidding others all the time.
What fans don't like is a smaler club beating a bigger club to a player. I have read posts 'blah blah blah 18,000 v 52,000 blah blah blah QPR will do a Pompey' and other stuff.
What people forget to mention is that TF and his partners are worth a fortune and then we have Mittals who are worth even more!
Agree 18K gates and players wages don't add up but our backers have said they won't put the club in danger. Move on
But agree money in the game is wrong

Yes because I'm a fan not a pro footballer !!! those days are gone but if anything the fact hes not black and white through and through speaks volumes about his decison and is therefor to me very understandable.

    "Bad Rosie! Bad, bad girl!"

Looks like somebody's dog has been opening those off-shore ISA's again.

No disrespect intended, but I'm sure Pompey's owners said the same thing! It worries me that your club is going to either financially implode or fall foul of Fifa at some point, because your revenues will be nowhere near matching your spending capability... It just seems this is an "all the eggs in the premier league basket" tactic, which hasn't worked too often historically. What happens if QPR go down? A lot of the squad appears to be on incredibly high wages, they'll be hard to shift... Some probably have get-outs in case of relegation, in which case you'll lose assets for very little... Just seems a massive pit is looming!

I agree football has been about money for a long time though, that's just capitalism.

Don't really agree about QPR being a smaller club though. How is that even judged? Crowd attendance? Fact is we're both down the bottom, so we're hardly a much brighter prospect at the moment! While I much prefer the way our club is run, I don't expect Remy to get out the balance sheets and figure out which club is more viable in the long-term, especially as either club might just be a stepping stone to better things! I mean, it maybe that QPR do get rid of all the dross and bring in world class talent, build a new stadium and become a massive team under TF. Long way to go and a lot of cash required though! Best of luck to both QPR and Remy though, if he's good at least we get to see another star in this country <ok>

Well of course it's all about the £.

The idea of being a loyal fan is madness. Why should you place a company ran by a guy trying to make money, employing people who in general have had no affinity with the company or region, in such high esteem that no matter what they do you'll continue to be a patron? NO matter how little you enjoy it.

So marketing director dreamt up the term loyal fan at some point in the past and the masses have fell for it.

I think you had loyal fans before there were such things as marketing directors, they're just exploited now beyond reason <ok>
