Aluko would love Prossie alongside him.

I agree Westhulltiger regarding FC, other than that i so prozzy in the cup and apart from score the late header he did nothing to convince me other than he is an average at best championship player, his heading has improved a bit since signing but i don't think he will make to much improvement to the first team i really hope he does get better because it would be good for himself and the team. Koren can do something special at any time in the game even when he isn't involved much but his big let down when up front is he can't head and gets pushed off the ball to easy. Aluko is a bit stronger and holds the ball better therefore he can get away with it better, i think if we can get someone in he will play alongside Aluko and Koren will move further back

To be honest, the situation regarding strikers is getting embarrassing. Apart from Matty Fryatt we haven't had a half-decent forward for 5 years. I don't know how many of you find it pleasing to come away from the KC every other week being able to say, "we would have hammered them if we had a decent striker". I certainly don't. I'll be royally pissed off if Bruce doesn't sign someone. Proschwitz and Simpson are ****, and Mark Cullen isn't even a ****ing footballer.

Watching the highlights of last season, it just shows how much we miss Fryatt. Also Last season with Koren in the middle, he had much more space & can create more space.

It says a lot that your best striker for 5 years is Fryatt.

You'd already be in the PL if you had a half decent one.

I include in that two years in the Premier League, and two years where we weren't really in a position to push for promotion, but even under those circumstances you'd expect to have at least a couple of forwards who aren't allergic to scoring.

Nigel thought that the likes of Rowan Vine, Martyn Waghorn and David Amoo were the answer :emoticon-0114-dull:

Waghorn saved us in our play-off season. Wouldn't have made it without him. Suppose the service at Hull wasn't as good coupled with his injuries and confidence crisis.

Ah well, he thought that Chris Wood was the answer and that's all I care about.

Waghorn was alright to be fair. We were well pissed off when he got injured playing for England and eventually recalled because NP ****ed off back to you guys.

Was Aluko not the one who played a great through ball for Koren to miss a one on one? Problem for Aluko is he has had no-one make runs beyond the last man, and no-one in and around the box making good runs, he really has struggled due to that. The problem is Koren isn't a striker and doesn't make strikers runs so doesn't draw men away from Aluko. He looked excellent when he came deep the other day, and linked up well with Elmo.

It was Aluko, but it was hardly a defence-splitting pass. He was stood on the offside line and just had to kick it anywhere goalwards really. It was alright, but nothing amazing. The videos we saw of him playing for Rangers were much more exciting than the odd simple pass.

I'm quite happy for them to play badly but pop up at the right time & score a goal if it presents itself. We can't always play brilliant football like against Leeds, especially not in this league.

And to be fair, if he hadn;t scored those goals, in those games, we'd probably have drawn or lost them and we wouldn't have been in 2nd place.

He is a creative presence in Midfield for me. Playing him upfront is just wasting a quality player.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks he is too greedy? He shows glimmers of brilliance, but tries to take too many on too often. And dont anyone say it's because he had no one to pass to, I remember this happening on Saturday when there were at least 3 city shirts around him all with a "WTF" expression on their faces...

The lad has talent, but I'm worried about his decision making at times. Or I'm just talking ****e :)

Aluko is by some margin our most talented player.

He was out for a month and then came back during the busiest period of fixtures.

    Give the lad a break.....

Good post, he is brilliant, and I think it would be a huge mistake to leave him out of our League squad. He is only young however, and needs to learn more about decision making, but that's the only flaw to his game that I can find.

I think, dropping him into a more free role in midfield would allow us to get the best out of him, but we do need him on the pitch. He was just like Brady in his first Loan Season here under Nigel Pearson, quality, but lacks in regards to decision making. He'll get the knack of it soon.

Not at all, Ive said it many times. At the start of the season in particular he was very reminiscent of Brady last season where every attack had to be something Roy of the Rovers and I expressed my worry with Robbie coming back having 2 like that. He has improved since though - as obviously has Brady.

For me he's the Koren role but better at it and I dont know where that leaves Koren.
