A new one on me. This Italian winger has popped up on our radar.
Not what I think we need but as a loanee and probably a cheap one at that maybe the type we would go for.

Newcastle United have been given the green light to move for Udinese winger Diego Fabbrini after the Italian club revealed that he will be allowed to depart the club on loan.

Fabbrini, 22, has been strongly linked with a move to the Magpies in the winter window and according to Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo, the youngster can depart on a temporary basis.

"He wants to play more regularly, but the coach can only pick 11 players," Pozzo told Il Messaggero Veneto.

"If he wants to go and play somewhere else then we'll send him out on loan, but we'll never sell him outright because we believe in him."

Strongly linked? Thank god whoever wrote that doesn't review watches... Or chain-mail... Or Zelda games...

Unfortunately for us, they write about football... When have we been linked with his chap?!

Still, I'd like a winger... Would prefer a defender, but I'm sure a winger is absolutely essential... For something...

Maybe Fabbrini is plan C if Remy doesn't come?
