This is the first time i have posted here i have enjoyed reading posts but never felt the urge to write, untill now for a long time i have felt money is ruining our game and the likes of fat sam and rednap spivs and conmen taking over thats it. I am 72 this month and supported newcastle united since my uncle sam took me to a match in 1947 but when i read about a player agreeing to join a club and then changing his mind at the last minute for what is obviously mony no more thats the end for me bye bye football
Your first post is "goodbye"? I'd have thought you'd have had worse since 1947 than missing out on Remy...
There is something about you I like. I think it's because you know the game is all about money, no loyalty or anything of the sort. Football fans are mugs at the end of the day we could be spending money on our families and local community. After 72 years a straw ca e thee final straw. - The point at which you say I've had enough of this ****.
Football is a reflection of society and a microcosm of the global economic attitude. Speculate to accumulate with utter abandon. Strive for immediate success without work and application, when you can buy it instead. The bubble WILL burst no doubt about it and frankly even as a football fan I'll welcome it. Billionaires coming into the game, bankrolling modest clubs and transforming them into football superpowers overnight is a cancer. I prey it never happens to Newcastle however much I dislike the current regime. I've said it before, but you can go down to the casino tonight and put chips on every number on the roulette wheel. You'll certainly win, but the victory will be hollow and you'll be out of pocket too...
100 percent agree. I just hope I'm alive too see the Buber burst on football. All it takes is sky too pull out and it'll come tumbling down like a pack of cards
At least if Sky pull out we'll get less stupid time ko's for the away games. Another late ko for Villa meaning we get home at an ungodly time. Tue 29.01.2013 Aston Villa (a) @ Villa Park, 7.45pm.
It is a pile of tosh the money in the game but I think its like a a snowball rolling down everest. Its halfway down now and unstoppable. There's still plenty to like about the game. Welcome by the way.
