If the mags lose to Reading (possible, but not that likely) and Villa lose to West Brom (much more likely), then the Villa-Mags game the week after will be an absolute monster!

Villa lose it's a poke in the eye for Bent. If the mags lose :). And a draw does no-one any good. Win-win-win!

If the mags lose 2 out of the next 3 games I reckon they will be bottom 3, Pardew will be given the bullet and Mark Hughes will be given the job.

    Happy days all round. Lol

Can't see mark Hughes working under the constraints our board impose. Pardew is their man, even if we are relegated I reckon.

Think Newcastle will beat Reading like we did and kick on a little. Watch out for West Ham and Norwich dropping toward the trap door though. I fear for Villa, he needs some quality/experience before the window shuts or they could be doomed. Think this year will prove one miracle too many for Martin at Wigan. Got a feeling Arry will drag QPR to safety. Us and the mags will finish around 12-13-14th

Villa will go down unless 2 or 3 experienced heads can be found this window.

They look shot to pieces as a team and Lambert is struggling to stop it.

Its very reminiscent of the 15 point season for us where we just lacked the quality and defeats just became the norm. We were often beaten before the game kicked off.

Villa look just like that as soon as they concede a goal.

Thought I'd bump this and see if anyone has new thoughts.

Villa and the mags both seem to play well for half a game and then lose it completely in the second 45 mins. This one's going to be a cracker, if you ask me. I'd give the mags the edge, maybe 2-3...?

Newcastle will win this, Villa are in total dissaray. I have took the Toon at a massive 7/4 (along with Spurs to win at Norwich (lost 6 out of 7) 4/5, Notts County to win at Portsmouth (lost last 6) 4/5 and Crawley to beat Preston (won 1 in 10, win come against Hartlepool) evens.

And behind that sign is another one which reads "Who's your next Messiah, Ant & Dec?" <laugh>

I can never get bored with the views from Villa Park that day.

Hoping we can help them on their way. But we can't buy a clean sheet this season and as long as that's the case every team will have a chance against us especially away

I fully expect them to recover, their schedule is reasonably friendly from here - except the one against us! Overall, it will still go down as a very disappointing season for them. Top 8 or 10 would have been the goal, with 13-15 being most likely now (43 points is my guess). As for us, I reckon we're good for another 22 points to finish with 50 for the first time in ages (9th).

This game is huge for the both of them. Villa have become a laughing stock,.imagine what affect that would have on Newcastle if Villa were to beat them. Villa will have the wounded animal about them after bad cup losses. First goal is massive
