Yeah rangel was a tactical choice which worked wonders. Rangel has great attacking instincts for a full back which makes him versatile enough to play defensive winger or attacking full back.

    "Hedy" Lamah.

A deal has been agreed between the two Clubs',for an 18 month loan. As per Huw Jenkins,BBC Radio Sport, this evening.
    No other deals imminent.

I was thinking that myself, it means that its actually two loans, a short term one for the rest of this season and a long term one for next. What worries me is that we are only allowed 2 long term loans (I think?) , so is this a smart move ?

His contract with his club runs out in 18 months therefore, if he is any good then we can sign him for free. Very astute business me thinks <ok>

I don't think so, why would they allow this player to run down his contract with us then let him leave on a free ? They could get a fee for him right now. There must be a figure that we've agreed to pay.

He's contracted until June 2014. That means in 18 months time he's a free agent.

Edit: Unless as you state there is an agreed fee, though most probably minimal.

Well after Saturday's performance Dyer is going to have to buckle down and get his head straight, or whatever it is that's been the problem. This guy is going to come in with the desire to prove himself.

The biggest problem with Dyer is he has lost all his pace, he cant take on or get past players any longer.

Not sure if this is down to him carrying a niggling injury that wont go away or he has lost pace since bulking up muscle wise

Dyer is having the same problem as Ramires in chelsea imo. Both are pacey wingers in an offensive system where speed is not that important. They need to go inside instead of running to the back line and it's giving them trouble it seems.

Despite the term, the obvious advantage to us is that if he doesn't cut it or we can find better he can be shipped back with minimal risk.

Based on Saturday's performance, Dyer's major problem is two fold. First failing to execute on basic skills. It really doesn't matter what position you're playing or role or system that the team deploys your passing and first touch are a personal skill that you can either execute or you can't. On Sat, it was dire in that regard, but most importantly, and this is where Dyer really has to get his **** together, is that after each miscue instead of putting his head down and working to recover or reclaim a bad situation, he threw his hands in the air and had a mini-tantrum. We can all have bad days at the office, but that attitude is not acceptable. If this new kid is on a par with Dyer, he's going to get the nod every time with a better attitude.

Yes I agree so we get best of both worlds. If he's crap then we've lost nothing if it turns out well then bob's your uncle. Make sure the contract is water tight so he does sign if all goes well.

What? Another Million spent on a La Liga player? Extravagance I say. How much more can we just splash out willy nilly on the likes a Angel Rangel, Chico, De Guzman and Michu?

If Osasuna sells him they need to pay Le Mans a fee so it might somehow be a better deal to loan him out for the remainder of the contract.

I thought only 2 loans were allowed too, yet we already have de Guzman and Schecter on loan. Strange.
