Couldn't agree more, people are entitled to say what they want on here, if it's completely ridiculous then they will get shot down.

Everyone seems to be overlooking his error for the dissallowed goal.

Its nothing to do with ability, I just think he's a pussy. He really doesn't want to put his body on the line, much like Amos at Watford and Cardiff.

There was one instance where Jak punched it when all he had to do was catch the bloody thing. He'll be reprimanded about his performance along with everybody else but to suggest that he's dropped after one bad performance is ludicrous. It's really nothing the training staff can't teach him and it was always going to be one of those days, you could just tell. He made a top drawer save in the first 10 mins to deny them an opener and has pulled off many others in previous games. As Brucey said on the radio, we've made more mistakes today than we have all season, but it doesn't mean he'll suddenly rush out and replace him. He's been given the all clear to return for training and will continue in goal. A back up goalie will be brought in.

I just want to clarify if such comments are aimed at me as the OP, that I don't think he should be discarded and flogged with a knotted rope in Queen Victoria Square. I merely think it might very well be his last game for us.

The 2 things are VERY different.

There's only been 1 goalie ever to win the Fifa Player of the Year award, Lev Yashin. People will always be able to pick faults with goalies, just like every goalie we've ever had. Lots moaned about Myhill, Duke, Norman, McKechnie....

Jak drops or flaps at the ball at least once a game but he's a fabulous shot stopper. Similar to that mental French bloke who was in the man united team who won just about everything going. There isn't a goalie alive who doesn't make seemingly silly mistakes (Lev Yashin is dead). It's the job of the defence to cover for the goalie when and not if they have a moment.

Jak wasn't the only one who cost us a point yesterday.

I can honestly say I never moaned once about McKechnie. I used to throw the odd orange at him but that's about it!

Anybody who has watched Jakupovic's catching over the last few games must surely see he is an accident looking for somewhere to happen. If they can't, they are blind, and it is for that reason that up til now he has not been given a chance.

I've said straight away that Jak was dodgey. He just didn't have that calmness about him.

I which case the sensible thing to do would have been to have tapped it back over the crossbar for another corner, rather than carry the fcuking thing over your own goal line!

Sunn, backing your own players only works to a certain degree, the qualifying factor is that they must be able perform in their position to at least Championship standard, yesterday Jak confirmed that he is not capable and I'm afraid that no amount of backing & support will alter that fact!

Agreed. But the one at Watford was Stockdale.

I moaned the New Year's Eve he was dancing on the pool table in my local. I used to take the odd orange, thrown with a vengeance after the pool table incident.

Never. Yes he dropped the ball for the Wendies 2nd but also saved our bacon a couple fo times in the first half. All keepers make mistakes and better GK than Jakupovic have made far worse.

Far too much knee jerking and over reaction to his error. The whole team were poor on the day. That is the real reason why Hull City lost on saturday.

Jakupovic has done great since replacing Stockdale, obviously I'd much prefer Stockdale, but you can't slate Jakupovic because of one bad game.

I doubt Stoke are going to drop Jon Walters and start slating him on their Forums because he had one bad game. We really are a sour bunch of fans at times. Let him have another chance against L'Orient and if he again, plays drab, then fair enough, he's going to have to get replaced, but he's made some great stops and has only conceded in two League games.

Spot on - Well said. Its like when you fall off your bike as a kid you just get back on and go again. How anyone can blame Jakupovic for saturdays defeat is beyond help. I blame the 10 in front of him for the defeat.

Also give a bit of credit to the Wendies for doing a good job on us.

It was not all bad though saturday. OLM provided great entertainment within the premier club seats with some wednesday fans. Highly amusing it was. Lol.
