Now some of you may have heard of this ã40 million transfer/wages pot but another way to get some good money would be to sell the players who are no longer part of plans. Here are a few I think could be sold. Cody McDonald - it's hard to tell whether or not we would regret selling him if we did, but it's either sell him or loan him out as he won't be getting any game time especially if we get in new strikers. He is young and a good scorer in lower leagues so you may even get a 7 figure sum for him! Steven Smith - I don't think he has any future at Norwich if he's not settling in, but he's also young and I reckon would fetch the best part of a million pounds too. Anthony McNamee - he hardly featured in our champ campaign so it's unlikely we'll see much of him this time around, might as well flog him for a few hundred thousand. Jens Berthel Askou - he definatley won't be featuring for us any time soon, I think its in his and the clubs interests if he goes somewhere he can get game time. Now we also have lots of other players; Chris Martin, Oli Johnson, Tom Adeymi who may also struggle for gametime, but I think they are great prospects so we should just loan them out and save on their wages. Again, all of this depends on who we buy in the summer. P.S. does anyone have any pictures of the civic parade yesterday?
The above players you have mentioned could indeed be sold, but, I myself would rather keep Cody, Macca, Chrissy etc. I agree that Lambo will offoad the likes of Smith, OTJ, Johnson, Gill etc. But the former three players I mentioned will be kept. Whats the point in selling them for peanuts when IMO theyre all decent players, young and hungry. I'd loan out Cody, Korey, Rudd/Steer, but the likes of Martin, Macca, Lappin etc should all be squad players next year. Not just because of their ability, but because they deserve it. Also, we wouldnt need the aforementioned "peanuts" we have a pretty decent transfer budget as it is!!!! Whatever happens, Lambo will make the right moves !! (Y)
