Asking for trouble I think. I always felt ( especially this year) the best way to beat United is to attack attack and go after them. They leak goals.

Agreed, hope we are wrong, but usually when you adjust your team and start putting square pegs in round holes ( looks like Hendo at RW,and Allen at 10, or even worse wing backs, cant remember last time we won with 5 at back), to counter the opposition it nearly always ends in tears

I really hope these rumours are wrong; looks like an awful team/formation. Pack the midfield, yeah, ok, means we can drop a man deep to pick up Van Persie all game and without him United are pretty ****. But where are our goals coming from? This game has a draw all over it if it's this team lineup.

I dont believe these will be the team.

I think it is worth pointing out that the bib theory was wrong last weekend.

I might be wrong but isn't that Carra in orange in the second from last photo? If the 'bib theory' is correct that would have us playing 3/5 at the back, which I really can't see happening!

who knows but it is kind of easy to pick our team.... and in a training game you'd want our back 4 to play together... but lets just see.

the back 4 is really obvious, I expect RHC to publish the team from his mate's communication tomorrow morning as the bus leaves melwood <ok>

    anyway.....

It'll not be 3-5-2 as if utd play 4-4-2 it'll put two up against 3 with two wingers pressurising and if they play 4-5-1 then rvp will have 3 defenders so we'll be short elsewere.

I think we'll be a 4-5-1 but you guys do need to rememebr how close on occasion sterlings got to red cards and the mancs wil ltarget him to get him sent off... it might be wise to launch him from the bench.

    anyway.....

i won't be suprised by anything... i think occupying their full backs and pressurising their wingers to think about defending more could be the idea.

    reina
    wisdom skertl agger johnson
    lucas allen
    henderson gerrard downing
    suarez

rememebr kuyt's work rate.. if henderson is played to owrk evra that might work well.... might not either.

anyway... i kind of more expect to see allen on the bench and sterling to be in.
