Just wondering if we do sign Remy in time for Reading who you would drop?

I'd drop Jonas go 4-4-2 and Play Marv on the left side - his best and favoured role.

I'd play Obertan right but clearly not once Bnny is back - I'd also play this team for at least 3 games before ****ing about again

I suspect Pardew would drop Marv or even Cisse before he'd do that.<doh>

As far as Williamosn is concerned dropping him for my granny would not be a gamble in my opinion.

    Krul
    Debuchy Colo(hopefully) GRANNY Santon
    Obertan Cabaye Anita Marv
    Remy Cisse

No ****ing about during the game

Taylor should be close to fitness (or whatever Steven Taylor's equivalent to fitness is) by the weekend

I'd play a central trio of Perch Anita and Cabaye, and Obertan and remy on wings with Cisse up top. Have had exams past week so haven't seen the last couple of games. But on all accounts we were about as effective as a Willo's ability to play football.

I'd go with that option too. With Benni replacing Obertron once fit, of course.

Switch Obertan with Marveaux, and you've got yourself a formation

    EDIT: Something like this
    -------------Krul
    Debuchy-Saylor-Colo-Santon
    ---------Perch-Anita
    -----------Cabaye
    Remy------------------Marv
    ------------Cisse

Exactly like that aye... Doubt we'll see Remy through the door before the Reading game though. we need some extra people in though and fast because today was just horrendous to watch.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us line up like this

    -------------Krul
    Debuchy-Saylor-Colo-Santon
    --------Cabaye-Anita
    -------------Marv
    Remy---------------Obertan
    ------------Cisse

debuchy, saylor, colocini, santon..... that defensive line up actually sounds pretty damn strong, god wish we had this the whole season!

..... hope remy becomes the player were looking for to replace ba though... and that he can actually play well with cisse upfront...

What Pardew fails to grasp - and he's not alone, judging by the posts - is that playing "wingers" with NO attacking midfielders and ONE striker is pretty much blindly, insanely stupid. How we SHOULD be playing is with either one DM, two AM's and wingers/cf or with 2 DM's, one CM and 3 attackers (not 'wingers').

There is no link up from these wide players in the middle of the park, which is why hoofball keeps happening. They should be tighter, full backs should press on and the two DM's should cover the space. We seem to be between tactics, lacking real grip and that for me is the concern with Pardew. So my preference is Krul, Debuchy, Perch, Colo, Santon, Bigi, Anita, Cabaye, Remy, Marveaux, Cisse. Anyone but Williamson, Bigi/Anita in DM, Cabaye free in the middle, Marveaux and Remy dropping inside and Cisse up top. All focus should be on creating chances for Cisse with the support.

I think Anita is supposed to bridge the gap between the DM and am position, but otherwise yeah I agree. Part of me thinks we should play 442 for familiarity.

I see most people are still keen on 4-3-3 but for me the first half of last season we playerd 4-4-2 very well and our defence was stronger. I know we had a handful of games like at West Brom were we did very well with 4-3-3 however we got pumbelled away at Wigan and Everton so for me it's a gamble right now.

    No Cabaye there Tash?

Also once Benni, Saylor & Tiote are available that will look stronger.

Yeah thats a sound idea but why not Cabaye in the AM and Mar left and Remy right?

Pardew irritates me with his refusal to drop Jonas for Mar on the left - Marv is left footed and it's his best position - For me Jonas offers nothing he isn't even making tackles anymore he just dowbled up and gets in Santons way if anything.
