I just don't see us signing anyone. We knew we needed a striker and a centre half and if reports in the summer were to be believed then our scouts had a list drafted up of targets. The fact that after all this time we still are not in a position to bid speaks volumes about our cheap arse way in which we approach the transfer market. Always looking for a bargain and not submitting bids high enough to secure players. We are not talking about paying over the odds, we are talking about paying what a player is worth. Always trying to drive the price down. We are not in tw position where we can afford that luxury. We need fresh blood and we need it yesterday.

Will have tons of takers for that price, or will sit still for lucrative scramble in the summer.

NUFC will not pay £3.5m for a player they mistakenly believe they'll get for nowt next window...

Happy for them to prove me wrong though, so come on Mike do it – I dare you! :D

Essentially "if they are still in the division yeah I'd go there as I know a few of the lads and they are telling me they're in a false position, but am I hell taking the risk right now!"

I think he will come to us if we stay up and as from his own words he's waiting till summer to decide.

According to today's Mail & Sun he is talking to the Mackems about a move. Toulouse want him out now so they can get some money for him as opposed to zero in the summer.

Sunderland are doing well now because O Neill has got a bit more grit than Pardew in my opinion.

If this player seriously goes to Sunderland ahead of us for as little a fee as is being suggested, then we really need rid of our hierarchy. He is a very talented and classy player, the sort we should have the ambition to be bringing in to our club.
I cannot believe we will sit back and watch yet another good signing, who ought to want to join us, pass us by, especially to go to the Mackems, just unbelievable.

It might be the fact they look like the can play football again unlike us you know. We really do look like going down right now!!!! we are getting worse while the teams around and below us are getting better, I wouldn't sign for us if I was them I'd go elsewhere or wait until the end of the season to decide.

Yes you're probs right. however right now Sunderland look good and a better option than we do for sure. I think we need to simply hope we stay up and go for our targets in the summer. We won't get them now unless we offer silly money which we simply dont do.
