With the absence of Enoch I thought I'd step in with a match thread please log in to view this image Leeds travel to Barnsley for a 3pm Kick off against the team currently stuck at the bottom of the table, winless in the last three league games Barnsleys main threat would of come from there top scorer Davies on 9 this season which isnt a bad return considering managerless Barnsleys current form, but Bolton have just snapped him up! (thats handy!) I would like to see Leeds line up with the 4-5-1 formation, my team would be the following Kenny Byram Lees Peltier Dury McCormack Austin Barkley Tonge Diouf Becchio Maybe Tonge should be in there somewhere, but thats who I would like to see starting! I'm going for a 1-3 result to Leeds, Becchio to grab at least one of them. Over to you, predictions thoughts, line ups?
Going to be tougher than expected, because of the players wanting to keep their caretaker manager. They've also been knocked back twice by potential managers, and when someone like Butcher prefers to stay with Inver cali rather than come down south, it says a lot about the future of Barnsley. Poor club that never recovered from having Ridsdale involved However I'm going to go for Leeds win and by 2 clear goals
As we're at home. anything less than a resounding victory won't be acceptable. If we really have promotion aspirations, we should win this by 3 cler goals at least. However, Leeds being Leeds, we'll annihilate 1-0 with a last minute iffy penalty.
Match thread suggests otherwise, but thanks anyway Marko. I'll stick with my resounding victory prediction.
We are deffo away, as I mentioned. The graphic does put us first though, so that maybe where the confusion is. Deffo away though
One of the worst games of football I have ever seen although its been beaten by worse performances continually all season. Barnsley were the better team by far at ER
To be far i've only seen them for the full 90 mins twice this season, one the 5-0 win at Brum and the other in the unlucky defeat at home to Sheff Weds, and they look a decent passing side. Their goals tally shows where it's going wrong though with the fewest goals scored (26), and also the fewest home goals, just 10.
Dawsons and Perkins in midfield are top players and I would swap them with Brown/Norris/Tonge put together
Been really busy recently. Lost my job, so been on hunt for new one. Got it eventually thank fook. 1-3 Leeds. Impressive Barkley performance
Barnsley low as they are, will raise their game like most teams do when the Whites come knocking. Hope we scape a 2.1 win..but I've bet on us to win, so usually that's a bad omen..
