Found this statement on QPR Twitter page today 'Less than 300 tickets remaining for tomorrow's match' Surely if we can't fill our ground against a big London club it would be pointless trying to move into a new ground. I know the thought of a new ground is nice but the amount of money this is going to cost and the league position we find ourselves in I think it's something that really needs to take a back seat. Lets see if we can survive this season (I'm undecided still, end of Jan will give us a better picture) then get ourselves established in this league and see where we are in say 4 years time.
Absolutely. think of all the tourists who couldn't come on Monday, and all the parents with young kids who can't go to a Monday game! More than 300.
AND it's an early kick off and live on telly... The notion of a bigger stadium is less about current catchment and more to do with (near) future financial sustainability. If and when it happens, there will have to be a major re-marketing campaign to go with it.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I am glad you are not planning for our future. The reason we haven't sold out is because we are at LR? Crap facilities/small seats/pillars/high prices. Really hate all these threads saying 'we don't need a new ground' because we didn't sell out weeks ago?
And there was me thinking that the EPL was the greatest in the world And us Brits were mad for football. The FA can fill Wembley for an England friendly at high prices on a Wednesday night with the game live to TV and we cant fill LR! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If Man City return a high proportion of their tickets at £62 then ours at £55 are going to be harder to sell. If we had a capacity of 30-35,000 then the ticket prices would be less so more people would go. At 18,000 capacity we need to get as much in as possible, just a shame it has to come from us.
To be honest mate, your Wembley example is a bit misjudged as the prices to see the games you mention (especially when you are taking kids) can be VERY reasonable. As little as £20 adults, £10 for kids, thus making it a full house.
it is. How can you compare an England international to a QPR game?.....hang on?..... TBH it comes down to product. We are bottom, its an early kick off live on Sky and the facilities at LR are crap. However why didn't you start this thread after the saints game or other sell outs? Oh yes because it would be pointless.
yes we do, all of those and hundreds more are so restricted that a pole is blocking at least one goal. I wouldn't buy any of those tickets but would if we had a bigger stadium. it will also be impossible to get 2 or 3 tickets together so that's another load of people who won't buy the tickets, same goes for the ones in the lower loft, impossible to buy unless you have a kid.
