Yep, cracking fans that completely disrespect their current manager by clapping for their old one in the 16th minute every game and singing songs like; "We don't care about Rafa, he don't care about us" etc. Brilliant, classy fans. Excellent thread mate, well done.
We sound a bit bitter, they were loud and had a right to be. I think flares (not chucked onto the pitch) are quality. Ripping up seats is a bit sad.... but singing play up Pompey is the behaviour of a complete cock. Hang your head in shame Chelsea.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjiCoB1EqnY As requested here is Sos Cogon!! Check out YOuTube as there are quite a lot! You guys should have a far greater range of songs now as you have been competing in Europe since the late 90s? If German and Italian fans can sing in English you guys should be able to adapt a chant that you have heard on your continental travels. So forget the Rangers link and come up with something French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and move on from the dirge of singing that most clubs indulge in including your lot! PS: Hope you get Bournemouth at home if they can beat Wigan in the next round!! It would be a great day out for the Cherries fans!!
I agree with this really. Their fans made plenty of noise, as any fans would whose team were that far ahead. I have no problem with a couple of flares, and I even had to laugth when they sang "You've had your day out, now **** off home." Bastards. But I think it's a mistake giving visitors the whole of the Northam like that. I'm sure we kept one section back when we played p*mpey in the cup, and presumably gave them a corner of the Itchen instead.
We had less tickets for the cup match than Chelsea. They had 4600, we had 3500 so I'm gonna guess you had some of the Northam.
Since when did smoke not do people harm you dumb ****. Also it isnt going to be great have to watch a game through a cloud of smoke.
Good to see Swansea fans tonight singing "is this a Library" and Chelsea fans leaving early in their droves tonight. Poor atmosphere Chelsea!
Also booed Torres off the pitch when he was subbed, and booed the whole team off at full time. Ought to form an alliance with the other bestest blue fans down the road!
Smoke grenades usually contain a substance that can cause serious problems to asthmatics, easily forgotten by people just out to enjoy themselves.
I was invited to the game tonight and as a neutral can confirm that there was barely a peep from the Chelsea fans from either the Shed or Matthew Harding Stand. Torres was booed by a large section of the crowd and other than a few calls for Fwank not much doing. There were plenty of fans leaving with 10 minutes to go before the second goal went in. I know that away fans can usually be more vocal and noisy, but I've been to midweek games at Fulham where the crowd were louder (and they're the nicest fans for keeping the noise down so they can concentrate properly). See, I've come to you board and not had to mention how much louder Pompey fans are in comparison to the lot of you once. Oh...
