    Just looking back over some of the players we've bought in the past and how much we originally expected from them and what we actually got from them.

    Pity we hadn't had the scouting system that we've got now.

    Hooper.
    Boumsong.
    Marcelino.
    Campbell.
    Bramble.
    Ireland.
    Faye.
    Fumaca.
    Luque. (At least we got a song out of him.)
    Xisco. Would have done better with Tonto.

    Seen some great videos on the coaches to the away games. Would buy them myself if I knew the titles.

    The kind of thing you could watch over and over again.

    Perhaps some of them have been re-issued on dvd, I can't imagine many people have dvd's these days. :emoticon-0112-wonde

    Some of those just proved that because your Pa was a good player that you would be too.

    Of course some wouldn't have got a game if their Pa hadn't been manager.

    Scouting now? What is it exactly that Marveaux, Amalfitano, Abeid, Moyo, Tiote and Williamson have done this season? You could stick Cisse in that lot an' all for this season. Ben Arfa, Santon have been pretty good for the money, Cabaye probably the most impressive signing but it's hardly a glowing list. Ba maybe - but given we thought we should give him a £7m release clause I'm not sure we did that well there either.

    Was in my local after the game against Rangers, and somehow some Rangers fans had found there way there (quite some way off the beaten track) and they were laughing their heads off at us buying him.

    Remember the shout Boom whenever he got the ball. Just couldn't see what others saw in him.

    You think you had it bad? Peter Reid sent some scouts off to buy Milton Nunez of the Nicaraguan 1st division and they came came back with the Nicaraguan 3rd division player of the same name. He was about five foot two, built like a brick ****house only not as talented. Not our finest hour...
