I agree - If you don't like the original post simply ignore it. GMI has his opinion and it is just a valid as any of ours. If u disagree with him then thats okay as well but to react with such lack of tolerance and venom is unacceptable, reacting to his posts just adds fuel to his fire, don't like what he is saying...ignore! There are plenty of posters on here that I think are "Happy Clappy" morons but I wouldn't even waste my time responding to their comments!

My post is what I believe Cortese pulls the strings and Adkins has no real input into the signings, he is just told to get on with it.

 

Can we start a similar one? Or one to get him deported. Or executed.

Problem is all your threads are basically the same they are either (1) Slagging Adkins, (2) Slagging Cortese or (3) saying we are ****. Maybe if you changed it about abit people wouldn't have a go at you?. It's almost if you post these threads as you like people having a go or you like winding people up. Surely you can't be negative all the time can you?.

Barry you know that you like being antagonistic...........By the very way you post. If admin get enough complaints they will take you out you know they will.
No one is taken off this forum for their opinion. Maybe for how they express that opinion...but not the opinion itself.

All of us on here have a right to express our opinion but if someone deliberately sets about antagonising other posters then you would expect the mods to act.
How many times were you banned from the old 606?.....you always then blamed it on the BBC not welcoming your opinions.
As I said before you make some good points but you seem to refuse to moderate your antagonism.......it is the number of complaints that will sink you. You know you can do better...............

This thread has the basis of a valid point that cortese may have more influence on transfers than most chairmen. But it is taken to an extreme where you believe Adkins may as well not turn up to work. Really dont understand your thought process.

Scouts scout and put forward targets to recruitment team, Adkins and Cortese. Adkins can't be expected to have seen these players live...but he probably says I need x players and the positions they play. Everything is discussed and recruitment team and NC get on with it. Adkins meanwhile is trying to coach the present players and play matches...that is his job. I'm sure NA doesn't have the influence of an Alec Ferguson (who'd want to cross him), but this is the modern method of recruitment. The old days of managers going to Scun thorpe on a wet Wednesday and watching a prospective player is over.

 

I pretty much agree with this. I imagine Adkins sets the template for what's wanted ("pacy CB" for example ), Cortese sets the budget and the scouting team then suggest (or find) targets and as a group they decide who to go for.

It happens at all clubs now, no manager has total control of transfers any more. Even Ferguson has admitted he didn't see Bebe play before Man Utd signed him (not a great example, but still).

 

Your solution is simple, use the ignor function on any that bully or disagree with you, it will take quite a long time, but it is the only answer.
