So an extra tenner for us then... bloomin annoying! Should be good though. We've sold out our 2900 allocation... my seats are 2 rows from the front and right by the home fans near the tunnel... should be a top atmosphere
Sorry pal we took the train up which was very easy. Simple train journey from Birmingham New Street to Witton. Pub opposite the train station pretty much and a couple of minutes from the ground... I would advise the train tbh... Maybe go to Birmingham, park there and take the 15 mins journey by train? Just a thought.
I got my ticket. On general sale now but in home end. £52!!!!! Jesus wept http://www.chelseafc.com/ticket-news
We are visting friends in south Birmingham before & after the game which is why i shall be driving - means i can only have a shandy before the game but hey ho i'll make up for it afterwards, win or lose !
Thats about where we were, but about a dozen rows back. All the atmosphere was coming from our corner for the first hour or so with us 3 - 1 up, but the Stoke boys livened up when they started scoring ! The corners of the ground are open so if there is a cold wind blowing through you will feel it - OK for us just a bit damp earlier. No pubs near this ground that i know of and the away facilities inside are dead basic.
If anyone would like to earn extra loyalty points then let me know, i unfortunately cannot get a ticket as when i qualify they are collection only, so if anyone is going to the game and has a spare season ticket i would happily give you the money outside the ground for the ticket. But only on u18-65 tickets, i dont want to go Chelsea that badly to pay £50 a pop!
You just reminded me of this, courtesy of Elvis Costello: Men come screaming, dressed in white coats Shake you very gently by the throat One's named Gus, one's named Alfie I don't want to go to Chelsea
Excellent Chilco - i remember that song too - its got me humming along to ' I dont want to go to Chelsea ' !
Are you sure it wasn't successful? 800 tickets unsold according to this: http://arseblog.com/2013/01/city-fans-refusal-to-pay-opens-an-important-debate/ That's an interesting post on ticket prices/players wages incidentally, well worth a read by anyone.
Yeah I went two seasons ago to Stoke. I'm looking for a good away pub for before the game but there don't appear to be any near the ground... may just have to drink inside the ground. The facilities are basic but our lot normally go quite barmy in the concourse before a game so it's alright. Should be a top top atmosphere and likewise with you lot at Villa. Hope you stuff 'em.
Very expensive many tickets but who do you really blame for this??? The players and their agents soak up most the profits
I was going to this game but @£47 each they can go f***, I have seen its £62 for City @ Chelsea though!
