Now i,m not a fan of his, but with persistent rumours about him coming here, got me to thinking, what if he does come... Where would he play? Bruce is going to bolster the forward line, So that would probably leave sess taking the l/w.. And the right wing will be henderson, So where would that leave n,zog to play? I have heard he can play l/b, but don't think we'd sign him to play there....
Was it not bruce that got him to Wigan? Not sure if he's the sort of player we want/need. If things don't go right on the day, he spits his dummy out, just disappears. Need players who will work their socks off even when it's not going right.
I think if Bruce really wanted him then he would have signed him by now, when Brucey first came to Sunderland look how hard he tried to sign Cattermole and then Bramble. It doesnt seem to me that he wants N'zogbia at the Sol and I think the mags will probably end up with him as they tried in January. Sess should play off the striker I think he has excelled in is more forward role so far, but then that would entail playing a kind of 4-4-1-1 formation with Gyan ahead of him but he would need to find the net a bit more to justify an "off the striker" role but he has the creativity to pick out the killer pass as the bolton game showed with his 2 asissts and another against Wigan.
We don't want him back. He'd be better suited to you guys (unless you've got a left winger I'm overlooking). We've got Gutierrez and while Zog is more talented, it isn't by enough to compensate for his lousy attitude. He's wasted at LB by the way, he can't defend.
Pardew seems to think otherwise mate, I rekon he may rekindle his interest after the last ditch bid at the end of January, plus if Wigan go down you might get him a bit cheaper. People are questioning his attitude but he has been in a relegation scrap all season with Wigan and still managed to bag 10+ goals and pretty much single handedly kept them in with a shout of staying up so hes doing something right
Would love him to sign for us Him and Sess on the wings now that would be good. They would cause defences huge problems with ther pace, ability to go past a man and switching sides every so often. Would certainly create more chances for the strikers and fellow midfielders
It would be up to him and Elmo to push to get into team - competition, back up and the ability to shake things up when needed.
Why would anyone in there right mind play sess ahead of nzogbia on the left. sess has aways either player on the tight or at the front of a midfield diamomd at clubs. When played on the left he was constantly getting caught out anf left bardsley exposed with 2 players running at him Nzogbia is a naturally left footed left winger, people talk about Bruce putting square pegs in round holes
maybe because we've got henderson for the right, and sess hasn't displaced him, bruce is looking at new strikers, so that rules sess out for there, therefore leaving the left wing, sess will play there for two reasons... 1 because at last we are seeing the player we hoped he would be, and can play most positions inc. l/w 2 he'd play ahead of n'zog for the simple reason he's a better player,
It's a no brainer for me....GET HIM IN!!.The consistant and eternal weakness for us has been a lack of a creative midfielder who isn't frightened to enter the box, can score goals and has enough quality to put a decent cross in. I do cringe a bit when all people say they want is a player who will "work their socks off" or "put a shift in" or "battle for the team" and yes I like these attributes, but mainly what I want is RESULTS and that is through GOALS.....Nzog has quality and goals in him and whether people question his attitude or not they cannot deny that he has produced the goods in the premier league for a number of years and is still young. Hendo, steed, elmo, catts and the rest, while good players who I like, can run around like madmen all day "putting a shift in" but if Hendo won't enter the box, Steed cant hit the target and elmo cant consistantly put a decent cross in then it leads to a frustrating afternoon....and we've had a few lets face it. Our midfield never scores enough goals and there are no premier league points for how many miles you can run during the match or how hard you try! Quality, quality, quality is what we need....please, please, please Brucy buy us a goal scoring midfielder!! Oh and Zendon should play much more....he is constantly **** on by Bruce and will clearly leave this summer...what a shame!
In the centre but a different position to wer he has played so far. If I was Brucie I would sit down with the lad in the summer and tell him to go off and watch video's of Lampard and Gerrard. For me thats wer I see Jordan potentially playing at his best, the man from midfield pushed further up making the runs into the box and grabbing a few goals.
So he's not good enough to push an out of form henderson out the team but he's better than Nzogbia and woud get picked ahead of him at left wing? saying sess is better than nzogbia is opinion and I beg to differ. stats back me up too. don't get me wrong I like the look of sess he came at a difficult time and is improving with every game, but nzogbia is better, especially at left wing.
Rog, surely Dzudzak will leave PSV now they aint gonna be playing CL next season? He's better than Zog, much better, and much more consitent (based o 8 or 9 games i've seen, he was poor only obnce vs Rangers)
