They are still the most decorated club in major honours with 18 league championships and five European cups, so in that sense his comment isn't entirely stupid. But clearly the scum have bought their way to being the biggest fanbase, the most consistently successful in modern times and the darlings of the neutral. We're probably fifth or sixth in the scheme of things, if by 'biggest' you mean the one evenly measurable thing which is number of supporters. It's all part of the rather hackneyed wind-up tradition of using this imprecise term 'big club' rather than specifically describing what aspect is 'big'. I'm sure we can all agree though that Norwich are a distinctly nondescript, average, medium-sized club in every sense.
