I've heard from a few places in the last hour or two that we have signed Kenwynne Jones from Stoke City. I really hope this is not true What are your thoughts?
Clearly no one is impressed, when I heard we were interested, thought it was a mistake!................
Not for me thank you ,I believe that Aspas is not happening and I'd rather we keep what we've got and spend on better if not now but in the summer. The danger is we could get overloaded with players who are only a stop gap and then have a problem off loading them. We still have a squad who for some will not get a game so to keep adding for sake of it doesn't make sense to me .But then again if he does turn up and plays then he'll get me support , Mr Laudrup has a happy habit of turning our players into little gems Ben & Wayne for example.
My thoughts exactly he's no better IMO than DG. If DG is off to pastures new then why not upgrade instead of replacing him with someone who does the same, if not worse
Actually I can see the logic (to an extent). A big man to hold up the ball, win ariel battles and bring Michu, Pablo etc into play. Scrap that, he's ****.
He's a big lump who can play a bit as well. His power and aerial threat would definitely give us options and free up space for Michu. Could obviously use his height in defence as well, so I'm not against this potential signing as long as he's not the only one.
I am going to go against the general theme of the posts and say that this would be a good signing but for in addition to Graham and not instead of.....you have to remember he is at Stoke so we are not really privy to how he would play with the ball at his feet....big strong player up front would bring something different so if we can get him for the right price I think we should go for it!
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that even though I've been watching football for years, I don't know as much as the swansea scouting team and manager. They said we should get Michu and Chico and I didn't know what they were doing. They played an untested left back (Ben Davies) and I thought it was risky. If they think Kenwyne Jones can do a job despite my feelings of intense anxiety about a lanky, under performing oaf... I'm just gonna see what happens.
