Yes I know, the point I was making that he can be lazy, but is still a good finisher if given the right service.....which he isn't.

It just rankles a bit how we can have lost a match, the rest of the QPR players will be posting conciliatory things on twitter- but he'll be banging on about this "Mr Lenoir" crap. If Jamie Mackie had his own perfume range you'd say 'fair enough, it clearly doesn't effect his effort levels on the pitch'. But when it's one of the most disinterested players in the squad, it makes me think he's maybe got his priorities wrong.
By the way, Cisse is scoring at a rate of 1 goal per 400 minutes-ish in the PL this season. Given how little he contributes elsewhere on the pitch, he's clearly not a luxury we can afford at the moment.
Sure he hasn't got the best service, but he doesn't help himself in this regards either. If you're caught offside then you've just squandered your service. If you're not working hard to get into space then it's tricky to play a pass to you.
It's easy to say "he's a good finisher", but if he doesn't do a lot else right then he's not a lot of use.
I bet there are players in league 2 who are "good finishers"

Yea I agree he needs to put more effort in.....most the team do in fairness. He is a luxury at the moment, which is why he isn't playing. But he is worth keeping IMO as he can score and will be more effective when bobby is back and now we also have DJ back.

Can't think of any player we have that's any better?

Mackie is the polar opposite....all hard work and no quality....but he gets praise hand over fist.

I just think Cisse gets a little more stick than he deserves....but then that's just my opinion...the whole team is pretty crap anyway.

    Fair point mate.

That's because we know he's sh*t but he tries his best. There's no excuse for people earning 50 plus grand a week and not putting in a shift once a week.

    Now you're talkin' Frankie lad.

Well if his shirt from the Stoke match is any reference point, then his aftershave is heavily liniment based.

Not sure if this will necessarily be the case in all our January Premier League games? The WBA FA Cup game gave Harry the opportunity to take a good look at DJ in a non pivotal match.

When on his game, with proper service, Cissé's goal scoring ability can be explosive, even though he is lazy. DJ is more of a "fox in the box" type of player. Mackie's tremendous determination makes up for his lack of skill in some areas, but he will always hound the opposition defence and also notch up a few goals.

It's hardly going to be the sweet smell of success Djibril. The mohican doesn't seem to fit with the Noel Coward look either. Stick to being a first class striker. Actually, come to think of it .............

I don't think he gets enough! Nor do any of our players. They get far too easy a ride on this Board.

Dead right. Cisse is the only player currently with us who could score enough goals to keep us up. He's got form.

I don't know are you implying that we should play 2 men upfront but we really can't as we don't have two CM that can help both attack and defense

Every game is situational, in some games or situations you can switch to 2 up front and that's when you would play Cisse, on his own up front he is like a chocolate teapot.

Played as a lone striker, with no real service. He needs a target man alongside him. So,does this mean we will now get on twatter and slag him off?. Leave it out
