Although I trust Harry more than any of our recent managers, are we once again changing too much too soon?

It seems like we will be undergoing our fourth squad overhaul in two years. Surely this is a recipe for disaster. What with Nelsen, Hill, Bosingwa and Dyer seemingly moving on as well as another one or two others... I can only imagine that Harry is going to get players in that he knows and trusts. We can't afford to be gelling a new band of brothers, not at anytime and especially in our present predicament.

    I'm very worried.

I wouldn't be worried, they can't exactly do any worse!

The problem wasn't with our team "Gelling".... That doesn't take that long.

It's getting rid of the negative, overpaid injury prone has beens, that are dragging this club down (bar Nelsen, but he is leaving by his own accord)

And getting a few very much needed grafters with a bit of quality to hopefully survive by the skin of our teeth.

Nines, the only coping stratagy left to us is to accept we are down, I for one don't "expect" 'Arry to work a miricle, even though he will try.

John Cleese hit the nail on the head when he said "it's not the despair, I can cope with despair. It's the hope thats killing me"

All those with a ***ile and delicate mind set need a stratagy, and one can only imagine this board is home to more than a few delicate minds. Myself included.

Anyway as roller used to say, enjoy the ride.

Arry has seen enough of Prem football to realise this lot we have are not good enough (thanks Hughes)? Something is wrong when we rely on 2 30yrs+ defenders.
We have all been saying it for weeks that the team we have is not good enough and Arry needs to work fast.
For the first time (in a long time) i think Arry will keep us up.

Our only saving grace is the fact that the teams around us, such as Reading, Wigan, Villa, Southampton and now Newcastle (without Ba) are all equally rubbish and not good enough for this league, do Harry just has to get us improved enough to do better than them for the 2nd half of the season.

There isn't a points target or points per game target....only to finish 1 point higher than 3 of those rubbish sides.

Can we do it? We have the best chance with Harry!

I am in a permanent state of confusion.

We get promoted with a record winning team but end up having to sell the likes of Gorky to buy in DJ (?) because the Goons won't invest then in comes TF and we splash out on players to boost the squad. Next we get shot of Colin and in comes Sparky. He re-vamps the team with the likes of Zamora, Ohuoha, Cisse etc and we stay up by the skin of our teeth and despite Barton's best efforts to fcuk us over on the last day of the season.

Mark Hughes obviously thought he had a vision of where the team was meant to go and in came the likes of Park, Granero, Bossingwa etc and after zero wins in the league he's shown the door.

Roll forward to another transfer window and we get shot of Dyer (nice goal, now feck off), Nelsen looks to be out the door, I expect any offer for Clint will be accepted and more could follow (don't get yourselves a Derry replica shirt anytime soon).

I'm a fan and want nothing but success for the club but I am also a realist. I'd rather Harry bring in players that could do a decent job until the end of the season but would be quality enough to get us back up when the inevitable happens and we get relegated. Great Escape to some is Cloud Cuckoo Land to others. I want to be an optimist so maybe we can get a couple of decent results in the rest of January, I'd be happier to see a team or two below us for a while, and maybe Harry's magic wand can still work. If not I hope he has the guts for a scrap in the Championship and doesn't leave us high and dry.

I can only point to Norwich, Swansea and West Ham as examples of how promoted teams can handle themselves with some decent signings but not ripping apart the team in the process.

Where's the confusion Grove? Warnock and Clueless One (backed, aided and abetted by our loveable Tony) in the last 3 transfer windows have royally screwed things up and left us with many counts worth tuppence and who we're paying big time for.

Now Harry is on a different level to those 2 and how we have him is purely that Lady Luck decided to shine on us for once. Now this is the guy whom everyone said he only had motivational skills but was tactically astute enough to set up a team of non-descripts to wallop the Scum!).

He has one window and one window only to get rid of the worst of Warnock's and Hughes' mistakes. I like the start, don't care about Nelsen as he was slow and made to look fantastic due to a bad bunch, don't care about Dyer as he never played 3 games in a row for us, don't care if he gets rid of Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Zamora,Cisse, and I could go on and on.

What I do know is the man knows what he's doing and we're on the up!

IHWT - The Great Escape is on. The only shame is if TF had listened and seen what was staring him in the face we would have been shot of the Cleless One 6 games earlier at least and not been in this position!

Don't be confused - The Great Escape is on!!!!!:emoticon-0111-blush
