Cracknell McShane Bruce Dawson Rosenior Oli McKenna Cairney Stewart Proschwitz Simpson So yeah same as the first game but with Cracknell in for Jakupovic. No need for injuries, that 11 should be good enough to give them a game. It might be easier away from home.
One thing is for sure. Hull Citys outfield players will be alot fresher than Orients who have a game tuesday night in the paintpot trophy and then a league game saturday. Ours should be fully fit, fresh and rarin to go. Do we need a GK ? Lol
As Bruce switched to 4-4-2 the minute he saw Stewart play, I'm pretty sure that won't be the team/formation.
Plus the way he slated him so publicly on the radio after the match, I would be surprised if we ever see him play under SB again.
Agreed but I liked the original line-up because it fit everyone in nicely without requiring any first team players to plug any gaps. If we go 4-4-2 we're a winger short and putting Cairney out there is pointless. If that's the case we'll have no wingers in the team at all! Is East back at the club? Can't he play?
He is, but he's injured. East and Emerton(and someone i didn't recognise) sat next to me on Saturday.
maybe a bit too early for cracknell hes only 17 ! seen him play for hull schools a few years back ! hes very good but we dont want to rush him !!
Bruce said Stewart won't be going anywhere on loan until he is fit and in the condition of a professional footballer, I think he knows his talent and he's going to get him back into shape and have a word.
Our midfield was so flat at the weekend. Oli\McKenna need to be dropped in place of Meyler IMO. Although it will never happen. Imagine Meyler signing and getting crocked in his first week!
There's something amiss with the Cameron Stewart situation. SB slated him after the game but he (and all the coaching staff) must have known before he was selected that he wasn't fit. So why play him in the first place? Does seem strange....
No we stuck at 3-5-2 until half time. Then second half Stewart went from LWB to RM and Cairney to LM to make a 4-4-2 Agree about can't see Stewart playing next week.
The point I'm making is not a positional one but one of fitness. Managers don't play unfit/overweight players - end of. Unless SB hadn't seen CS since his return from Burnely and picked him blind as it were ?
Burnley were after one of our loan targets so SB took the opportunity to slate the way they looked after Cam
Stewart is the only change I can see SB make. Who comes in for him though is a different matter. He might bring East in and play Rosey at LB. I would've picked Townsend if he were here.
Prossie needs 90 minutes of crosses from Elmo and\or Brady. I would hope one of the (possibly Brady) would play if we stick to 532
