You can't fill us in You can't fill us iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin We are Hull City You can't fill us in
I quite like it, I found it funny at the Blackpool game last Tuesday when it was started by 2 at least 80 year old men sat behind me, not the "stand up shouters".
I love the 01482 Hull one! It just works for us; and it's a refreshing change from "We are hull, we are hull, we are hulllllllll"
Some more newer ones (as I sit regrettably close to the Ultras): So come on cheer the boys, City make some noise, We go wi-wi-wild! x2 and repeat We love Steve Brucey, Brucey, We love Steve Brucey, Brucey.. etc etc To the tune of I Like To Move It, Move It We love you, love you, love you, And everywhere we'll follow, we'll follow, we'll follow, We're following the City, the City, the City, And that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it, WOAHHHH-OOAHH, WOOOAHH-OOOHH and repeat Woooooooaaaaahhhh Wooooooooaaaahhhh Wooooooooaahhhhhh Na-na-na-na NICK PROSCHWITZ (or HULL CITY) na-na-na-na NICK PROSCHWITZ (or HULL CITY) boring and pointless
Finally, although I've enjoyed reading the discussion, I wanted some songs to sing. I have a couple now!
Hate it when people say that about 01482. It's very creative. I agree about the other one but it came from the left side, right side thing at away games which was also funny and creative when it started away at Watford in 2006, it was a joke that they were so quiet we'd sing on our own so we actally split into two and did exactly that. One side started singing "We've got Ian Ashbee on the right side." because he was injured at the time and sat in the stand with them. That's why it's funny!
I just like it when we sing our own songs, not some bullshit that half of the football league clubs do. There does seem to be a real lack of creativity at City these days, when were **** the chants were better. I think it was easier to inject humour when the team were crap. For these reasons I like 01482 and Mauled By the Tigers, it's good to be able to laugh at yourselves. Probably the worst is that Palace 'Whooaaa' utter ****e. I'm thinking we need to get a good song for Aluko. I also think we should use some of the responses suggested by Kisser mag to the 'Hull is a ****hole and I wanna go home' song. Another one I like is the Yellow Submarine one, can't think I've heard any other team do that. Also, City's going up to the tune of footballs coming home, I know that's slightly hypocritical given what I said but we used to sing it during the Div 3 & League 1 promotions and I always liked it.
I like the 'na na na na na na na na na elmohamady hamady elmohamady' one, sang in the tune of baby give it by kc and the sunshine band I am in E1 and we sang some good ones at the L**ds game
I like the phone code, it's at least a bit different, I'd sing the street names too. Ezzle Rerd, Ezzle Rerd, Ezzle Rerd...
Paul Mcshane, super Paul Mcshane, I just don't think you understand and if sell Mcshane, Super Paul Mcshane, You'll have a ****ing riot on your hands. Not sure what the tune is?
Not heard that in years. Yeah, I like that one.... mental check... yep, I know the words to that one.
To be fair there's a group at the back of E2 with some really original songs and around them are some older school that keep some retro stuff going. It's just a shame it doesn't seem to spread along.
I try to get a few of the away day songs going in the middle of E3. It only works if you keep singing them so everyone gets to know the words. I've not heard east side/south side in a few years. Might have to give it a try against the owls.
We don't have enough songs for individual players. Rosenior, Elmo and Koren are pretty much the only players whose names we sing. Can't we make an Aluko song? A Meyler song? Brady? Quinn? All good exciting players who give us plenty to sing about. I always harp on about this but part of the 'Dare to Dream' spirit of 2008 where everyone believed we were going to get promoted long before we did came from the enthusiasm in the stands. Every tim Fraizer Campbell did anything, even if he missed a shot, we'd be singing his name like lunatics. Such a simple, obvious tune but got the place rocking and must have been great his confidence knowing that even if he ****ed up we'd still be supporting him. Compare that to now with say Simpson or Proschwitz, it seems like we're waiting for them to fail so we can all groan at them. Why not sing people's names any more?!
A funny one from the Forest game was: 'He's a mcshaniac, mcshaniac on the floor, And he's playing like he never played before'
Brady normally gets the replica of Fraizer Campbell's song at times. We already sing, "Sone Aluko clap clap clap-clap-clap clap Sone Aluko Or sometimes, "Sone's too good for you!" I've heard a Quinn song too, "Quinny, Quinny-Quinny, Quinny-Quinny, Quinny Quinniesta!" To the tune of There's No Limit. But it's very rare.
