One target man and a technical guy, similar to the setup that Liverpool now have with Suarez and Carroll, Ben Arfa would be our Kuyt of sorts.

Some of our guys, Simpson, Barton, Enrique like to get balls into the box, so I think at least one of (which I think should be 3) strikers that we bring in should be a target man style guy, would be silly to put Barton and Enriques good deliveries to waste, would ideally like good all round strikers who could do both.

P.s hope the person who said Heskey was joking! ha

We already have target men (Best, Shola, Ranger (and Kuqi for now)), we need a plan B. What good does bringing in another one do?

Correction then, we need a GOOD target man. ;)

Best is not a target man, hes crap in the air, Kuqi is well..... Kuqi, Shola is awful and Ranger hasnt developed yet, ideally we would be moving at least two of those strikers on next season to make way for improvements.

Best's OK in the air, and I shouldnt have included Kuqi as he'll be off in summer, but like it or not Shola's staying, as is Ranger. Would it kill us to have some variation from the big man up front?

It probably wouldn't no, but I think its imperative that we have both so that we have the best of both worlds, thats all I'm saying. I've always been a huge fan of the little and large, Shearer and Bellamy-esque <ok>

If we are buying two strikers then I agree but if we only want one then I'd prioritise the little guy, we already have too many big lumps up front to aim long balls at. If we had a player like Lover but with more quality I think he'd score loads in our team, Lover himself has got 6 or 7 playing not that many games and playing off Shola most of the time.

I completely get where your coming from in that respect, even though I doubt Best's ability in the air I'd still probably have him up front with a new little guy, but hopefully a new little and large pair will be bought, ideally I'd like to see Lovenkrands and Kuqi leave to make way for them, Shola aswell if we bought enough cover, with Best as the backup.

Edit: Would love to see Kuqi stay on in some capacity, but not in our first team, coach... cleaner, maid? ha!

buying someone like welliton and playing ben arfa just behind to play the killer defence splitting pass for welliton to run onto would be preferable to big hoof ball up to the "big man up front" tactic

NO WAY to Crouch. He stopped contesting headers with Kompany last night because he was winning none of them, even tho hes got half a foot on the guy. Pace and power is what we want, crouch has neither

Lol i'm not joking about Crouch.

I dont see what is wrong with playing with width and getting balls into the box for a huge aerial threat like Crouch.

I think we Need to be realistic about who we Expect to sign in the summer.

It is just my opinion though.
