    We'll see what happens. I think he could be another HBA style signing. A signing that we really can't believe we've pulled off.

    Well it's evident he is no mercenary which makes me want his signing that much more.

    I agree this saga has it's parallels to the HBA saga.

    We'll see. If we get him, It will really be a boost that good players and everyone knows that our current league position is because of extenuating circumstances, and that we can definitely be a top 8 club.

    What gives some hope is the fact that he used to play with HBA and now plays with Barton. I expect they would both speak highly about the city and the fans.

    I'd be surprised to see him rock up. Then again another French international had no bother taking the risk. Get him, a centre back and some players fit and we will have some team.

    I figured Joey Barton's permanent move to Marseille might have given QPR the advantage with a possible swap plus cash deal. The two clubs seem to have decent relations.

    Always thought the sticking point would be getting the lad to agree to it. Gotta love Knappsack's cheek though – does he think he's still at Spurs? :D

    Surely our French contingent will sway in our favour, but ultimately it comes down to Ashley stumping the cash.

    Do we even know that we're properly in the running, that we want him or have any intention of making a tangible bid? For that matter, is he prolific enough to be the player we need?

    He certainly commands a decent level of hype which is encouraging, but I like the look of Aubameyang too so I 'trust' they'll make the right choice...
