Just for balance.
He didn't injure the players or have final say on transfer financials (or lack of funds).
He is the reigning manager of the year too.
That is all.

I'm on the Pardew In front - we need to give a manager 3 full seasons (highs and lows) before giving a final judgement!

Stability breeds consistency. Give him time to build up the squad.

Pardew in. Lets see how we do with our first 11 on the pitch. If we still look ****e then I will ask questions. We need help from the board though. Desperate for a couple of players for the first team.

Needs to stay and needs to be backed by everyone, but by Ashley more than anyone else.

While I think it's too soon to consider sacking Alan Pardew right now, I would suggest that he does have to take a great deal of the blame for the utterly disgraceful display at Brighton.

The players looked hapless and incapable. We looked like a very poor Championship side - whilst the players need to take a long hard look at themselves, you have to ask why they were so completely demotivated and useless during the match. We were out-classed by a lower league team and that is simply not acceptable.

Injuries or not, any team representing Newcastle United has to perform to a higher degree than what was served up today. <grr>

I genuinely believe that we will pull through this. Fed up of having a new manager every season. PARDEW IN.

Does anyone really believe sacking him would solve the current situation? I mean honestly, with 100% conviction and not knee-jerk hurt?

You judge a manager by his best eleven – if that lot were out there and being humbled without fight every week then there's a problem. Has he had his best 11 on the pitch once this season? Has he even had the chance to work out what that is?

Last season we DID NOT overachieve. We achieved to max capacity and were fortunate (for us) with injuries. It's been the total opposite this term, leading to a spiralling drop in confidence as bad result follows bad.

People complain about what he says in interviews now too. What do you want, loose cannon unprofessional loud mouth Joe Kinnear back? Speaks frankly yeah, but was an utter embarrassment. You can see it hurts Pardew and yeah he spouts similar lines, but what can he tell you to make it all better?

Results will make the difference and we'll improve with better players back, Debuchy and hopefully more arrivals.

Sack Pardew and you'll confound the problem... relegated for sure.

In certain respects Ashley has been good for NUFC, but there are times when he will need to back this club and demonstrate he has both ambition for it and commitment to it. That time is most definitely now. Step in support Pardew and strengthen your club and protect your investment.

If he has no appetite to do that, then l would agree that he should sell the club to owners who will not sit back and risk our demise. Business is about taking certain risks and l do feel that was the case with our lack of summer signings, being prepared to risk that we could make do. Well the writing is on the wall for us, we need
sensible reinforcements, not more risk via a lets get the injured back, and we will be okay attitude, let's see if we get them.

With the extra money on the plate for Prem teams next season, it's the worst time to get relegated. This is the ONLY motivation Ashley will have for measured investment this January.

He bought Newcastle United for BUSINESS purposes and has no emotive love for the club or any real desire to succeed on the pitch.

Success would actually cause him more headaches and pressures to spend. You can see that from the negative noises about Europa League qualification last year.

The very least he wants is a secure Premier League billboard for Sports Direct. End of.

The big issue I have with Pardew is his tactics.... Employing offside traps, high lines, sub 1 player in and change 5 positions on the pitch, take off goalscorers, take off threatening players and putting on Sammy Freaking Ameobi or Shola or whoever.... Playing hoofballs the ENTIRE year, every set piece going to Willo who flails/fouls/misses/harmless header...

It's really not just the injuries that is the problem.

I don't know what's wrong, we looked tactically superior in so many games last season, think Swansea away, Chelsea away, Man U home, Liverpool home(I think), this season has just been an absolute abomination. And its not just with our first teamers injured, hope you guys haven't forgotten the horror shows we put up at the start of the season with all our starters...

Of course, I don't want Pardew out, as I advocate stability...But really we're in a relegation dogfight and there's no two ways about it. Something needs to happen and happen quickly... Our players' morale have got to be in the doldrums now. The Board really needs to GO OUT and GET Pardew the players needed to stave off relegation.

And that is where I have NO confidence at all that they'll do so. Debuchy is already in, we still need 2 strikers and a CB. And yet I can sense that all we'll be seeing is 1 striker in.

I just hope we don't get relegated, and everybody gets another chance next season.
