http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...stle-in-the-race-for-10m-loc-rmy-8439235.html The kind of fire power that we need.
A club record signing in our position would be suicide. Especially after what's happened in the last three windows.
Loan with a view to permanent could be a possibility...especially as Harry has had an eye on him for some time now
We're damned if we do and damned if we don't. Do we want to stay up? Our liabilities could be £50 million or £100 million, whichever they are if we go bust it won't make a jot of difference. I think it's too late to start acting prudent now. If we do go bust it may as well be worth it...
This exactly. You have to 'speculate to accumulate', and IF he came to us and scored a hatful of goals that ultimately kept us in the Premiership I don't think there would be many saying it was a bad move. Lets go for it IMHO.
Class attacker and class CB is enough. Not sure if this lad fits the 'up for it' ethos that Harold wants, but M'bia (we need a nickname for this lad) will know him well, and if he comes with the Marseilles attitude shown by M'bia and Taiwo, would be excellent. Aaah, Taiwo.......
Taiwo indeed. Monster of a bloke Remy might take the extra £20k a week we're reportedly offering over Toons bid, show the prem what he can do until may with a bonus if he keeps us up by scoring or a release clause to inevitably sign for Arsenal if we go down Plus it's London not Newcastle that might swing it?
Looks just the ticket, strong and powerful and not short of a few tricks. Surely it must be possible to construct a deal whereby the Rs buy him now, but could loan him out next season if they're relegated? If they're promoted again they get him back, else sell him. Makes good financial sense. Seemples.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loïc_Rémy Why so few appearances this season? "possible heart defect" but declared fit to playaccording to link.
"Remy has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Marseille side this season, but Labrune insists he is not actively trying to sell the 25-year-old." taken from Sky Sports... http://www1.skysports.com/football/...e-no-plans-to-sell-Newcastle-target-Loic-Remy Gignac has 12 in 18 and the Ayew boys have shipped in another 14 between them. Remy has made quite a few appearances from the bench...must have lost his first team place to Barton eh!?
