QPR boss makes FA Cup admission ahead of West Brom clash

Harry RedknappHARRY Redknapp admits the FA Cup is the furthest thing from his mind – even though QPR face West Brom at home tomorrow.

Rangers take on the Baggies in a re-run of the Boxing Day 2-1 defeat at home, and although the gaffer would very much like a victory – he would bite your hand off for another three Premier League points like the fabulous three on Wednesday night against Chelsea.

“We want to have a go, but the Premier League is the key," he said.

“Winning is a good habit and we would like to beat West Brom. But we have massive league games coming up, and they are far more important.”

The Hoops manager agreed with Arsene Wenger who recently claimed the world’s oldest and most famous domestic knockout trophy was fourth on his list of priorities.

The Arsenal boss reckoned that after Champions League, Premier League – even qualifying for the Champions League took precedence on a glorious May day at Wembley.

“I can see why Arsene would say that,” said Redknapp. “And I have to agree, although for us, it’s all about staying up rather than qualifications and winning the league.”

The Hoops manager is only too aware his squad have played four times since December 22 and lost three with a great win at the Bridge the saving grace, but admitted he is running the rule over the bench in a bid to freshen the side.

It could mean a first appearance of the season for midfielder Hogan Ephraim in some capacity, and almost certainly a changed defence.

By the sound of things then...........Ephraim will play and Nelsen and Hill will be rested. Wouldn't expect Adel to start either.
