sorry bout that pgf i didnt realise being in the first division gives you trophies..........everton and the gunners have been there donkeys years,so does that make them the most successful clubs in england? please enlighten me on how many times the mighty barca of wales has played top division football in its history
It makes no difference how many times aber, we are there now and you lot are not. Live in the now not in the past
The derbies are on, it seems the redbirds have already won promotion, with half the season to go? Cardiff could be set for a major economic windfall from the Bluebirdsâ promotion to the Premier League http://tinyurl.com/apberxs please log in to view this image
Yes I can see the open top bus parade around Splott now with cardiffs finest Blake, Perry,Vince Alm, Kinnock, Mike Hall,Fran Donovan and the dodgy htv stand in sports newsreader on board. When will these premier Welsh derby games take place - Christmas and Easter ?
I think it's earlier this year, this is to prevent the Samaritans being overwhelmed come May should the season run its course
but it does matter tho jager. beach its gonna be a great open top ride for the players and others........see all the sites and take in the big city all at 2mile an hour>>>>>>what u reckon the numbers would be on the streets that day cheering them on 300-400 thousand..........?
Spoken like a true jack. 'History doesn't matter! The past?! Who cares about that?! NOW NOW NOW'. Well, unlike the Jack's, most clubs have a history to remember. You've only just started writing yours.
There are only three chances of ever the Malaysian team are going to play us....FA cup,League Cup or if we were relegated...
What a complete and utter pathetic excuse of a post did I say history doesn't matter ? All I said was that we have to live in the now as the history won't help you now! And what history do most clubs have ? What have they won in most fan's lifetime ? The answer is not sodding much ! Your history is an fa cup win almost a century ago, how does that help you now ? Who is alive from that to remember ? All you got is a few pictures and an extra bit on wiki! The swans are doing well now, we are the first and last club in Wales to be in the top flight, we are proud of that, you are just envious and comes through oh so much in your post.
Anyway if they do come up, it will not be the Bluebirds, they got fired at the start of the season, and no more exist, this new Malaysian dragonfly will simply get swatted by us and nearly every other Prem team, and will go back down beating the Rams record!.........
thats right dragon the proper bluebirds have been shat on and will never see or get to play in the premiership....This foreign team using lego land will never represent the true bluebirds as long as their arse points downwards..
Hold on. When did you say 'the history won't help you now'? You didn't even insinuate that Anyway, it's a ludicrous statement in the first place. When did I ever suggest that history is supposed to 'help'? That's not the point of it at all. I think it's perfectly fair for a fan to be proud of their clubs history/past successes in any context. History is what makes a club after all and if we don't remember/discuss/celebrate it for years to come then that would be a true shame. 'What history do most club's have?' Cup wins, league wins, upsets, performing well in tournaments, even certain players can be integral to a club's history. 'What have they won in most fan's lifetime?' Your concept of history becomes increasingly bizarre. Whether or not it occured during one's lifetime is irrelevant. It's celebrated history and something that fans can justifiably be proud of. It's their club after all. Your Grandchildren should be proud that they support the first Welsh team to play in the Prem. They weren't alive to witness it, but that doesn't matter. Yet, according to you, it's stupid to celebrate it as it 'won't help you now!' and didn't occur during their lifetime 'How does that help you now?' IT DOESN'T, and it's not meant to 'help'. That's not the point of history (something you're clealrly not familiar with). Jesus. 'Who is alive from that to remember?' Why does that matter? Should we just delete all footballing history from over 80 years ago? Of course not, it's important to be remember and celebrate it regardless. So dull. 'All you got is a few pictures and an extra bit on wiki!' Um, we also got the FA Cup; a great achievement. I've always said that your team is doing well, and your style of football should be commended. I'm not envious at all and would rather you stayed up than QPR for example. It does seem, however, that you have zero understanding of history and it's importance within football, which I suppose is charateristic of a Jack.
Oh come on, who discusses about how well you played in a fixture a century ago ? You go on any football forum and look at what is being discussed, it reflects what is being discussed on the terraces. Are they talking about games or situations from then or now ? Most clubs have not won the fa cup, most clubs have not won the cup in Europe, most clubs have not won the top flight league. You have won the fa cup which is an achievement to be proud of, now what have you won since ? History only remembers the winners of competitions and you or us have not won anything in recent history. I live in the now and look at our club is doing at the moment, the past does not win games. There is nothing wrong with that, and I've followed the swans for more than 30 years. Perhaps the traditional bottle it in the second half of the season syndrome your club suffers with is because you are all still celebrating the fa cup win decades ago ? Or perhaps it's because you are just not good enough to go up?
No I celebrated it, as I said I'm not discounting history, it's just in your utterly pathetic excuse of a post you are putting words I haven't said in my mouth. Perhaps if you just commented on what I said it would help you frame a reply worthy of discussion.
No, they discuss/celebrate these things on the anniversary for example. It's important to remember as I have said. We've done a lot more in recent history than yourselves when it comes to cup competitions. The reason you 'live in the now' is because you have no past worthy of even glancing at. Being hammered at the Wretch for a decade doesn't really compare to 'now' does it? Or PERHAPS (wait for this radical theory) it was because of our MANAGER AND PLAYERS Imagine that! DJ was a bottler and our main players were bottlers. End of story. Now, we've shown loads of this infamous 'bottle' under Malky (Turner's equaliser anyone?) hence my lack of concern for the second-half of the season. New manager, new players, new style. For someone who claims to 'live in the now', you do seem to be living in the past of Cardiff City.
Oh, was it my quotes that put words in your mouth? Those direct quotes lifted straight from what you had said? If so I apologise. And you are discounting history with comments such as 'I live in the now, not in the past' etc whilst celebrating the centenary of your club. Slight contradiction there old chap.
