Think he could do well for us. Played infront of our current keeper before as well with is nice. Let's hope he works out well for us
We need him, with Bolger's return in doubt. Sounds like we tried to get him on a permanent deal, but failed. Hope he returns on loan. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20900688
Some of them make me laugh/cry. Who the hell do they think we are, and where do they think we are? In the grand scheme of things we've done sod all in the last few years and we're stuck at the bottom of the pile. Yeah, the Bentleys , Mercs, Ferraris and Maseratis are speeding along the M4 and down the M5 driven by top-flight players aching to play for us! It's time to trust in John Ward...if he recruits someone he'll have good reason!
Well John has confirmed Leicester are not keen to send Bolger back to us on loan, so it is unlikely we will get him back. We do not have the funds to buy him outright so we will need to move on (hence this signing and possibly another?). I trust Ward to sort us out...it will be a tough battle, but im sure he will get us out of it come May.
Tranmere had something like 17 clean sheets during the time he played for them. I think he'll be a good acquisition. Glad to hear we're actually trying to buy Bolger. Can't see much point in endlessly taking these players on loan. Hope Leicester see sense and give the lad a break and let us sign him.
Thing is I reckon they value him highly. I heard we offered them money in the same region as Parkes (so about 100k) and this was turned down. Therefore I expect they are probably looking for 150/200k and that is a tad risky. I like Bolger, but we do not have that kind of money so it is either another loan (which Ward confirmed they are not keen to do again) or a free at the end of his contract
Bolger's a bit injury prone to be a safe investment, but it would be great to have him on board for a reasonable sum.
bolger and parkes go very well. prefer that partnership to kenneth and parkes. so it is a shame about bolger. i can see why ward wanted bolger on permanant deal rather than a loan. ward wants 5 loans only as cant play more than 5 at 1 time. he only wants more loans if to cover for injured loans. signing bolger on a permanant deal will solve that issue. but as leicester rejected the offer and mcchrystal just became available who by the way dont look a bad signing for us, more experience, will help out our new keeper settle in as both worked together before. same position as paterson was in this time last season, joins us as in need of a club and he needs to impress to get a contract. win win for all parties. welcome aboard mcchrystal
Given our finances and lack of strikers perhaps its safe to assume that Ward wants to pick up an experienced striker who will not be cheap, hopefully not another Shots reject though hence we are being cautious on the Bolger cash front also it pays to offer a cheeky £50k its a start point. COR
