I'm sure I've heard this somewhere before... http://www.thisishullandeastriding....ers-says-dad/story-11978707-detail/story.html
Phillips has been a great goalscorer but he is at the end now, he can't even get much of a game with Blackpool and he can't go on forever, Forget Graham he will stay in the premier league either with Swansea, he is now back in there first team or will move to another lower premier league side, Morrison and Campbell we would have an outside chance of getting but it just needs one premier club to come in and they will go there, there isn't many players who would drop to the Championship when they can stay in the Premier league, its common sense
Err ... rather obviously of course...it was still Bruce that wanted him at Sunderland. All credit to Quinn however when dealing with the inept Duffen. He must have thought it was Christmas and his birthday rolled into one.
Just followed a link from the Karoo website (to a Sun article!) which states that :- "Hull boss Steve Bruce is ready to make a £4million bid for Graham. Bruce will move for the striker if he fails to prise Fraizer Campbell out of Sunderland." Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...life-hell-for-Swansea-boss.html#ixzz2Guv6ae3X
The full article... DANNY GRAHAM has promised to make boss Michael Laudrup’s life hell in 2013. The Swansea striker scored his second goal in as many games against Aston Villa on Tuesday to rescue a point in a 2-2 draw. But he is far from a shoe-in at the Liberty Stadium these days and is not certain to start Sunday’s FA Cup game against Arsenal. He was the Swans’ leading scorer under Brendan Rodgers last season with 14 goals. But since Laudrup took over in the summer Graham has started just 10 of Swansea’s 21 Prem games. Graham said; “I have always had confidence in my ability to score. “It would be nice to get a run in the team but that’s up to me. I have scored two in the last two but I know for a fact that I’m not the first name on the sheet anymore. I’ve got to keep training hard and hopefully improving. That will give the manager something to think about.” Graham, who cost Swansea £2million from Watford in the summer of 2011, has the backing of Ashley Williams. Swans skipper Williams said: “We know what he’s got. We saw it all last season and at the beginning of this season.” Hull boss Steve Bruce is ready to make a £4million bid for Graham. Bruce will move for the striker if he fails to prise Fraizer Campbell out of Sunderland.
Graham would be absolutely my first choice but we've no chance. He's already been linked with likes of Norwich and reading for a start.
You're probably right Harap (i.e. who wants to drop down) but I understand that Bruce can be very, very persuasive and the Allam's seem willing to back it up. If Graham thinks we're on our way to the premiership, and he'll be near on first choice striker (for what would be only a half season in the championship. As he thinks he's not having the best of it at Swansea, he might be tempted! Ok, perhaps wishful thinking!! I'd prefer him to Campbell that's for sure, though I wouldn't mind FC coming back.
What do you mean the likes of Reading? They're pretty much resigned to relegation already and it's January (perhaps a slight exaggeration, but not far off). I think if we bid for him, we'd have a chance. It's like the Charlie Austin thing. He's scored loads of goals and he's been linked to some decent clubs, but just because these clubs are mentioned doesn't rule us out, it just means that they might make a bid. If we bid for him today and had an offer accepted, told him "we're going to get promoted this year with your finishing (no pressure mate), he'd probably consider it. Don't write us off just because a few PL clubs are interested; we should be competing with them if we want to get the best players!
I wasn't at the SOL that time, was he being jeered by the City fans or was the reception good? That's what it hinges on for me. Marney got a warm applause and behaved like a ****, but if we were having a go at Campbell I think he's allowed to take the piss when he scores. A bit like when Adebayor did it against Arsenal with that length of the pitch knee slide in front of their fans after being told his dad washed elephants and his mum was a whore for the entire game.
campbell was a bit of a tit at the SOL ,,but at the end of the day 99% of footballers are probably dicks, still rather have the good ones playing for us.
Reading that article and from the titbits ive heard sounds like FC's is on his way, All positive with a lil hint of interest from another club thrown in to make sure he gets a good contract. Just spoke to the guy who told me the deal was almost done before christmas and he still says the deals more or less done, its his dad holding out to see if anyone else is interested in Fraizer.
Well Reading will finish bottom. But i still think Aston Villa will be relegated. Then pick one from DQPR-Wigan-Saints and Newcastle. imo
