Read on twitter yesterday Mon was using the trip down to Liverpool to tie up a move for downing. Wouldn't complain about him on the left wing.

Say then we did somehow manage to get someone like Morrison in our midfield could be

    Downing...Catts...Morrison...Johnson

That midfield looks top 10 to me plus they are all NE lads.

That would work for me even with Sess for Morrison in a 4-4-2.

I'm actually very keen on us signing Downing, and fancy it's a goer.

You say good player but wrong team but I say lets see who and for how much he would go for if he did leave? I cant see any top 4 team in the UK or the main European leagues going for him for £10m that's for sure. A bottom half EPL team or wannabe European team maybe in the vain hope he could spark them but not a top team. He isnt good enough to play Champions League by a long way imo.

That's a far better midfield than the one we currently have by some margin imo.

Could Sess for Downing be a deal? I think Sess would be incredible in behind Suarez, I wouldn't wanna play against that!

Throw him in a team like Swansea, a footballing side, think he'd prosper..

I never meant good as in, that good...way over hyped for me.

I could see spurs taking sess , think sess is a luxury player and I think the top clubs would go for him because they would just let him have a free role while others get the goals , were as we need him to pitch in with the goals as someone said on here good talent wrong club

No need to spend a penny, stick Sess on the wing, he couldn't be any worse than McClean.

Honestly, even last season Sess just didn't do it for me. Like to "try" to beat 3 players every time (without ever doing it) shooting is ****e, doesn't play the (easy) right ball, assists (don't know the figure) can't be many. I would take 6/7m without a doubt. Now not saying he can't be a decent player, but he is luxury player. A player in our (usual) position don't need. Do well at a top six club in any top league but not a botton six kind of player.
