Pity, Saturday would have given him & Tate the opportunity to show what that partnership could achieve whilst at the same time resting Lees/Pearce. Heyho, good luck to him I say.

Hardly LiE. He's just more likely to stay on his feet unless otherwise required, keep his hands down thereby reducing the risk of a penalty, & pit his head in when required. In short, he's better than Lees & possibly Pearce. Yes, he lacks pace, but we have White to help with that.

If Ipswich look to sign him after his oan period expires, we may just live to regret it.

There's no doubting he's a good defender, but he's far too injury prone and he's just too slow for me nowadays, if he was involved we'd end up sitting even deeper and that's what we need to prevent. Oh and if his inclusion means White has to be involved you can definitely count me out <yikes>

League one defender now IMO but a Champions heart. To clumsy & looks to bring the player down too often when turned. Good luck though Paddy, when we needed you you galvanised our backline & helped us with our promotion push! Cant help thinking he is one injury away from hanging up his boots either.

Strach: Is this Graham Dorrans of WBA? I'm really surprised he has been made available, he is a cracking player. It was only a few seasons ago, West Ham offered WBA £5M for him. Last I heard about him was that he was struggling to come to terms with his daughter being very ill and that this had effected his game. Perhaps a loan to a Championship team would be great for both the player and the team he joins.

I've heard a couple of rumours that Leeds have enquired about Lee Wallace at Rangers. Wallace is a left back and played for Hearts, before incredibly taking a step down three levels to join the new Rangers in the Scottish 3rd Division.

Hope you're right about Wallace, Boab. Don't think we particularly need a left back but he's the kind of player you go for if he's available no matter where he plays, would be a cracking signing.

I had to endure a Rangers game recently and that was the discussion between a few of their supporters, when I mentioned I supported Leeds. It appears he is concerned about not being selected for Scotland due to playing in lower leagues and that he would prefer to have a go in England.

From what I've read WBA are asking a ludicrous 4m for Dorrans, so we've got no chance. I've also heard good things about Wallace. Along with Templeton, he would be a great signing.

Disagree, I think we're desperate for a LB. Oh wait, we have one, one who is supposedly the best LB in the division...only we don't play him <doh>

yup Dorrans is available, and 4 mil was the price being banded about, I do think a loan however might be possible , don't know what sort of wages he is on though.

Kisnorbo & Naylor training up the defence really would be a good idea. Both very committed defenders in their day, & both still capable of putting a shift in, albeit less rapidly than they once might have done.
