Ah! Agreed about that then, which is why big changes are required and some bigger sacrifices perhaps.

Everything I think of points me back to James Morrison. I swear he's the man.

Totally agree there is no one that could come of the bench to replace him but if we was to sell we could bring in someone who could bag us some goals ,thing is we need sess to be on the top of his game every game to get something from the match and how many time as he been at the top of his game this season?if we was to sell sess for around the 20 mill plus mark bring in someone like Morrison for around 5 mill who can pick a pass put him in cm alongside catts Johnson and McLean on the wings and fletch and wickham up front I'm sure this would work a lot better , fletch carnt play up front on his own

Mate, we'd not be getting £20million for Sess, more like £8-10 tops.

Morrison would cost at least the same, we sell Sess we won't have a pot of money for 2 CM's, we just lose Sess.

Milner, as mooted, would be immense, were he not on 3 trillion a week.

You will get few arguments out of me for this lad. Top class player but dont think we could get him.

See, I agree it's tough, but he's a Boro academy lad, could that help us?

Catts, AJ, could they hold the key?

WBA are better than us at the minute, that's the kicker, but they are, always have, and always will be, a selling club, and a smaller club.

Everyone seems to think we'll make big money on Sess if we sold him, I don't think we will as other teams will see he isn't playing well and will realise that we may want shot of him to upgrade the team. Arsenal were interested at the end of last season for a decent price about 10mil I think it was if we get that for him I'd be happy.

I'm not so sure 8 mill mate not when Sturridge is going for 12 but if we was to lose sess and replace with Morrison alongside catts and fletch and wickham up front I'd be ok with that dunno what you think ?

I would, but we'll never lay 4-4-2, we just have to accept that.

Sturridge was £12, but he is 5-6 years younger and English, that's no marker for Sess unfortunately.

We'd do great to see £10million, and that's a pointless sale.

Not pointless if we can bring in a CM for him who can link up and pass the ball and maybe score a few goals, like you say Morrison or maybe Maloney from Wigan.

I see McClean as more of a problem then Sess.

He is so limited as a player, first touch is woeful, non-exsistent agility no vision whatsoever and won't use his right peg.

He works hard but that's just not good enough these days, we have too many players that all we can boast about is that they are 'hardworking'.

We are not in a position to sell Sess but dropping McClean and moving Sess to the wing could be the answer.

Oneil is the key to this because if he doesn't change the formation then not only will we not see the best from sess but as a result his worth will drop and the team will struggle, sess will in the end have his head turned by another club and they will get him cheap as chips

Very very well put quillips - he can't see past his own nose - in the Utd game, City game and again yesterday he got the ball in a difficult position and shoots when there were players with easy chances to score standing in much better positions - he NEVER looks up and only sees the nose on his face when he gets in the box

McClean is a League of Ireland footballer that burst onto the scene and created a stir but imo has very little to offer long term. Some lads have what it takes to adapt. Sadly he doesn't imo.

I'd cash in on him to a Championship club asap and use the money far wiser.

The £500k goes onto the pot mate and the £20k per week with it for wages and we put it towards a player who can contribute. If McClean didn't play another game for us again, we would not be any worse off.

We have to look for better, much better than Jimmy McLean if we are to stop being relegation fighters year on year.
