Proschwitz actually has the second best goal per minute played ratio: Aluko = goal every 225.875 minutes (about every 2.5 matches) Proschwitz = goal every 257.5 minutes (2.86 matches) Simpson = goal every 325.6 minutes (3.6 matches) McLean = goal every 330 minutes (3.66 matches)
He did okay, showed some decent touches and made good runs, thought he was onside from bradys through ball aswell. Didn't have none of those crosses we've been wanting him to get on the end of in the second half so he couldn't besides the one were he drew the man and left simpson with a free header.
Agreed. I bet Anthony Taylor has had a right good old up-ping from Mike Riley and the FA over that West Ham v. Everton shambles. Sadly we had to have him. Yes that Charlton game you mention only goes to show he has not changed at all. Just perfect for being a PL ref. lol. No way was he offside when the ball was played (that is the offside rule) but was when he touched it. Slow linesman as always sadly.
I'm sorry but comments like this frustrate me, were you sat in line with the defence when the pass was played? No, therefore the linesman had a far superior view than you and will have almost definately got it right. Maybe it was tight but in which case how can you know for sure? Shut up and accept that the linesman probably got it right, much like all linesman almost always get everything right!
As other posters that went have said, much improved performance second half with NP and Simmo on.. both to start on Saturday?
How have you worked that out? Not saying it's wrong but the results surprise me. I'd have thought Aluko would be low down because he's only missed two games and whilst he's our top scorer, Simpson is only just behind and McLean has 3 in what I thought was hardly any games at all so I'd have thought he would be top.
Quinn/Phillips are the style I can see big Nick adopting when we have a foxy striker to team with him - if the quality were anywhere near as good we would be straight up! Pretty much seems that games and conditions are conspiring against him at the moment, 90mins in the FAC has to be his big stage. I predict a hat-trick.
Lets see how he go's because i don't think SB wanted to sign a player and spend 2.6 million on him and then stick him on the bench, If he had been good enough which he should be at that price then we would have been easy top of the league now. I think he must regret signing him and i remember at the time he said it was a gamble. Lets just hope he does need time to settle and will get better but has i said earlier at that price you shouldn't have to teach him how to head a ball, i really would like to see him improve because it must be disheartening for him and of course it would be great for us. i will watch him closely on Saturday and give you my honest thoughts on how he is progressing
Its a tricky one judging Nick tomorrow (presuming he plays) because the players he will be surrounded by will not have the quality that our first 11 do. Having said that, a good performance is needed and will hopefully bring him some confidence and a goal or 2
