    I remember Brucie talking about it a few season's ago when he first came in and he brought in Mensah, Turner, Cana, Cattermole and Bent to strengthen us.

    At this current minute no wonder we are struggling, just like at tonight for instance, is there a worse CB pairing than Killa/Cuellar in the league and Colback/Larsson in the middle.

    This is not me overreacting because we are getting battered but we will do need to improve the spine in the next two transfer windows

    2 quality CB's
    2 quality CM'S
    and a quality centre forward

    We are struggling big-style,and I agree with the OP....we need to strengthen the spine of our side.....the mid-field got over-run tonight.Hurry back Catts!!!

    They had 3 against our 2 though. I agree our 2 are quite poor but tactics were wrong tonight. Mcclean had to be sacrificed, 3 in the middle to match them, at least numerically

    Bad times for the north east! Ideally both us should be battling it out for top 8! I was kind of glad when you beat Man city as it wasnt Manchester beating the north east but blooody merseyside beat us today :emoticon-0119-puke:

    Maybe he does but is doing the job with the material he has. Hopefully he will be shopping in January.
