Hmm... Undisclosed fee, but believed to be 12mill. Ba for 7???

Seems to me to be a vast overpayment for a player who had a decent 3 months for Bolton but otherwise has not excelled.

Not to mention he wants to play as a central striker, but I can't see that happening

    Thoughts?

Ba is a cheaper replacement for Sturridge?

No I mean why would Liverpool spend that much on an unproven, over-rated Englishman when there is a cheaper, better option available

That sounds very familiar doesn't it...?

I think that for Liverpool they have signed someone who can play on the right of a top 3 or play up front by himself if anything happens to Suarez. I do think that they have bought a fairly decent player but due to his attitude/wages etc he became to big for his boots at Chelsea.

Having said all that, hope he fails!

I've heard numerous times that the only teams that can break Ba's clause are teams that are in the CL, and unfortunately we aren't in the CL so we don't get that option :(

I'm not convinced with Sturridge both in his attitude, and what he has shown on the pitch. There is ability there but I think he is a risk at 12m.

I don't fancy having Ashley young but I reckon that Johnny English would be a decent signing!

Seems to be commonplace at the moment players dictating which position they'll play, not good for team spirit, so there's the first hurdle a club may have to overcome! :emoticon-0145-shake

I've always rated the lad tbh and £12m versus the £35 for Mandy is good business.
