Personally I think we should be looking for an outright left winger rather than another striker i'd rather play a 433 with 2 wingers one of those benny and one strike maybe Ba if he stays or cisse.

Jonas is just not performing and obertan is just a liability...... any thoughts?

We've been playing a 4-3-1-2 recently with Marv/Anita behind two strikers, or 4-2-3-1 sometimes.

I think the extra attacking threat a striker brings is better. We need a versatile striker who can be a striker/attacking mid. Remy would be good for this.

Very quick, good in the air, good finisher, decent creative abilities.

5 midfielders and one striker doesn't seem threatening enough unless you have world class players.

I'd still prefer to play 433 when benny is fit and with a new winger and possibly remy up front but obviously we need a new CB as priority and a new ST if Ba goes.

Obertan may be in the process of becoming Obertanho - - he's looked impressive the last couple of matches.

Having said that, I agree with the OP: someone as close to HBA as possible on either side of either of our Dembas

    Agree

    ------------Cisse------------
    New LM----------------Benny
    -------Cabaye--Anita--------
    ------------Tiote------------
    Santon--Colo-Douglas-Debuchy
    --------------Krul------------

    I like...

A winger who could swap with Benni as well, then we could switch them and cause huge problems.

TBH a striker and a winger would be nice though...

Sorry but I don't agree. The last few times we've tried 4-3-3 with one striker in the PL we've not done so well.

The extra striker in a 4-3-3 is better.

It's risky relying on attacking mids/wingers to get you goals.

    I'd get another striker.

I think we need at least 2 strikers brought in as Ba is ****ing off. Not just one! We only have one back up striker and that's Shola! He should be our last choice!

Been saying this for a while myself but I don't think it should be linked to Ba's departure. I think his departure will leave us certainly needing three (full back, centre, striker) but ideally I'd like a Tom Ince type player for the left aswell to balance us and take the creative weight off Benni.

I have to say though, 4 in this window? No chance! I'll be happy if we just get the defenders!
