It's like when you get promoted.....and your in charge of your mates instead of being one of the lads.......you can not keep the same friendships with the same people on the same level.......and of course you get stick for making unpopular decisions.....that's life.

Agree with this completely. PASOTI is like a mafia mob, strictly controlled and if you dare to deviate from the established status quo, raise some thorny issues or tell a few home truths then you'll quickly find your account terminated without warning, explanation or recourse. Very hostile and merciless moderation on that site, you have to toe the party line and bow to the heirarchy or you're not allowed to play. This mob mentality and forum politics actually serves to damage the site however. It rapidly becomes a place where only one-sided discussions take place and member numbers are limited considering it is the main fan website.
That's why I used to much prefer the old BBC 606. No politics, no heirarchy, no taboo subjects and no party line. Total freedom to discuss anything at all with moderation only kicking in if there were personal attacks on members or such like.

The old 606 was better. I have never joined Pastio or Atd. This site is good for discussion and friendly.

Ds i doubt me and you would last long on Pasoti then!!

DS.......it is possible to post on [email protected] have a point of view other than the party line.

Of course if you mouth off and swear too much you deserve to be pulled up short anyway.

This might be a friendly little back water.....but I can assure you people do take note in other places......it helps a little if you use different usernames on other sites.......but of course your style of posting will get recognized, I have friends on both P@SOTI & ATD who know who I am.

So as long as you are polite and factual you can state your opinion........those that have been thrown out of P@SOTI have got into personal attacks.....so right or wrong they have been chopped........we do get visits from old posters who have moved on....and they cause no trouble on here so thats fine with us.

I joined ATD at the behest of Greenjock who is a poster of many on there. It was ok to start with but it is another pasoti in my opinion but with the opposite views. If you don't post anti Argyle vitriol ll the time then you gt set upon by the select few who like to think they rule that site. It's like an animal pack with puppets and masters just the same. I hardly bother to post anything anymore. This site is consistent at least. There is room for your own personal view and nobody gives you grief for stating it. It makes me smile that ATD castigates pasoti all the time for it's poodle like followers yet doesn't see it is a mirror image itself. The only difference is it is hard to be banned from there where it seems easy on pasoti. I've never registered on there and I have no interest in doing so. Brent doesn't need to do anything himself to split factions they do it nicely for him.

I don't have a favourite to be honest. Whoever it is has to be better than Fletcher and I'm prepared to give whoever it is a fair crack at it.

Whoever comes in as the new manager.........must be his own man......no restrictions.....using his own selected staff.......and if that means Romain Larrieu and Kevin Nancekevill get sacked...than so be it........Kevin has got his badges and wasn't Romain looking into it a year back.....maybe there is still a place for both of them in the backroom staff....I hope so.

I shall not be concerned if the football for the rest of this season is down right ugly.....it is points at any cost for us now.......Div 2 football is the aim for next year.......the new manager should not be judged on what he does this season....as long as we stay up.

That's all we would have judged Fletcher on plym so I don't think anyone is going to think we suddenly take off. I see the latest favourite is Brown. I wonder who will be favourite tomorrow.

Blimey Sensible, the phrase "hostage to fortune" could have been invented for that statement. That's just the problem with sacking managers, there are no guarantees at all that the next guy will be better. That's why we've had 8 managers in 8 years.

You can keep flogging stats at me all you want notdistant and you are entitled to your opinion but I stand by my statement also. Fletcher was woeful and in my opinion we couldn't get any worse. We might not get better but worse would be something to behold.

Well, we haven't done very well with 8 managers in 8 years have we, so the stats are on my side I'm very much afraid to say.

I would not think there are any worse than what we had? Stats mean nothing.. you don't win matches with stats??

What stats do is state the law of averages to point to an answer which may or may not come true. What I would say about the latest managerial encumbant is that out of the 8 he was at least 7th as the worst and that would be joint 7th with a n other. If 1 in 10 managerial changes work out for the good then the stats don't always get it right and who knows, maybe it won't in our case this time.
