Just got this off another site, rumoured to be looking at these three. Here's a Youtube of Pukki, he's like a bloody express train!! As I say it's only rumours so don't kill the messenger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_4o6azXcVQ
Not quite sure why we would be linked with these guys, Pukki wouldn't want to leave Schalke and I doubt they'd let him leave if they wanted to, he's quite a talent. That said, what a coup if it does come off! If we were looking at players from FC Sion, the one that'd make the most sense would be Kyle Lafferty, Evan Melo has only made 2 appearances this year, scoring no goals. The other lad is similar to Melo, he's just broken through into the Dortmund first team so unless it's a loan, I can't see this one happening either. Where did the rumours come from pal?
Mmm, I can only imagine they're future prospects, other than the kick off goal (which I think was in a youth game), Melo is literally an unknown; we could play Lewis Clarkson and get a similar feeling. Incidentally Kyle Lafferty is a big target man, 6ft 5 and solid on the ball. Wonder if he is on the radar?
I'm also assuming he's fast, being a former winger, and he's Aluko's former team mate at Rangers. Is he really 6'5" though, I don't remember thinking he was that big when he played for Burnley.
Re Evan Melo , i just watched a related youtube clip , what level is he playing at , the defence (in white first min of the video) was appalling was it a Leeds XI ?? Just watched the rest of the video and the level must be youth or something
I'd sign Pukki on loan and also Izale McLeod from Pompey, he is going to be released in January to save money on wages, he has scored 10 goals so far in League 1 in a very poor Pompey team!
There have been times in the past when there were stand out players in League One that were obviously Championship material, this just isn't one of them.
He only went o Sion in July last year when the whole Rangers thing went tits up, he signed a 3 year deal so can't see him heading back this way anytime soon, according to Wiki, he's played 16 & scored 4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyle_Lafferty Currently Sion are sitting 4th after 18 games. http://uk.soccerway.com/national/switzerland/super-league/20122013/regular-season/
