Blimey this has surprised even me given what I've said about him.

Apparently Andy Murray has asked for his 3rd place in the sports personality of the year award & his OBE in the New Year’s Honours to be swapped for a personality, or more to the point to be fair to him in exchange for a top London PR company's assistance in making him more media & public friendly.

He reputation for his dourness goes back to his infamous England footy dig back in 2006 which too this day is the basis for a lot of dislike towards him.

I don't know what people's problem is with the Scots not wanting to Support england. Would you expect a Leeds fan to cheer on scum in the Champions league final? Daft question! There can only be one answer. So why is the Scotland/england rivalry the only one to be questioned in this way?

Andy Murray is around £2m worse off this week, as he has just purchased Cromlix House (near Dunblane)
It used to be a hotel but closed in early 2012.
Small pad for the lad, wonder if he intends to obtain a more suitable family home in the future.

I take the view like when I see a Bradford or Hull or Barnsley game that I'd rather see the fellow (albeit smaller) Yorkshire team do well, so the same would apply to Scotland since they're almost identical people to English, Welsh and Irish, in the scheme of things. But I don't mind it when that small football side hate my own, because provincial jealousy is natural.
