we have to remember Mignolet is not one of us at the end of the day most footballers have ambition to do better and end up playing for the top clubs and european competitions and you get others like Gyan. Mignolet will want to play for a top team and who could blame him of that and the way he is playing it will be sooner rather than later I really like the lad, he is a quality goalkeeper and he seems a sensible lad, if the time comes when a top club come calling then I will wish the lad good luck, in the meantime he is with us and doing well
The lads class, and as we're a million miles from CL football, we know he'll go. Give him a 5 year deal on the basis we will then get good money for him in 2. We can't begrudge the lad the big stage, hopefully he gets Belgium number 1 and outs in a big tourney and we can milk it.
Think he only has 2.5 years left, June 2015 and is on a ****ty wage, he's on his original unknown from Belgium contract, he needs sorted out!

£5m?? What planet are SSN and Arsene on?. He's easily worth 3 times that (or more). One of the best 4 keepers in the premier league this season. As good as De Gea and, IMO has been as good if not better than Hart this season. (I rate Hart but, from the games I've seen this season, Mignolet has been a better keeper) Give him a 5 year contract as has been said. The sad reality is he is destined for bigger and better things. He is destined for a top club IMO. But he is awesome Edit: how good is the Belgian number one?. If he's better than Mignolet then he must be a class keeper!!
Why would he want to go to a top club, he is a goal keeper and loves making saves - he will have more opportunities to make saves at Sunderland than at one of the top clubs - would get bored surely.
Sorry mm I meant to edit that to say he's better but forgot!! Who's "better" at shot stopping in the PL? I'm not sure I can think if anyone. His positioning and handling this season are also top notch. Has improved immensely on crosses as well and looks a great keeper. Gt over 10 years left so 5million is a joke. Cech, Hart, De Gea & Lindegaard, Reina, Sczesny, are any of them "better" than Mig?.
Him & Hart are the 2 that can save anything, Hart is better on crosses and distribution, personally think Reina is declining, Lloris is finding his feet now and he is an incredible keeper, for me, at the minute, Hart, Mig, Lloris ae the top 3, probs in that order.
Luckily Westwood has the potential to be just as good so if Migg does want to go we can cash in and spend the money on the midfield in the knowledge we have another ready made superb keeper ready to come in.
