Lampard is useful to the Chavs. Whether he could do a job for united is debatable. I just think that although he is good enough for the Chavs he may not be quite good enough for United. The length of stay at a club should not be a problem nor his status at the club. Look at RVP. He was at arsenal a long time and was their star player. I thought he would take a long time to settle and integrate but it took him minutes and he looks as if he has been a United player for years.
He would be good enough for United, but the point is he will be best utilized at Chelsea at this late stage in his career. I'm not sure RVP and Lampard are the same really. RVP is a player who's career at Arsenal has been marred by injury. Lampard has been consistently with us and for a longer time than RVP at Arsenal. Also, when you think of Arsenal, you didn't think instantly of RVP as the iconic player, whereas with Chelsea, Lampard will be one of, if not the first name you think of. If you had signed Thierry Henry, then that would be comparable.
I'll be going to see you tomorrow, off to the Swans game. No doubt this is where you turn the corner. You beat Liverpool though so gave us all on here a good laugh.
He is the perfect player for us.. Anyone saying otherwise clearly hasn't witnessed how s hit our midfield is..
"Theres been alot of speculation in the media surrounding Frank Lampard possibly joining United in the transfer window, can you update us?" Sir Alex: "No comment"
We already have someone who can pass the ball 5 yards, ours is probably more accurate as well Fat frank is ****. Apart from his goals he was absolutely anonymous against Everton and his career has been like that. Does nothing all match then bangs in a penalty or a deflection and everyone is saying what a great player he is. He can't tackle, he's an average crosser, has no vision, can't pick out a Hollywood pass, can't run with the ball. Stevie Me is twice the player Lamaprd is and that's saying something.
Just can't agree with that Sweats. If we do need another midfielder it's a pitbull not a Lampard. Cleverley and Carrick are begin to gel well, the latter has been brilliant this season, why break the partnership up to accommodate a player who needed Essien to do his dirty work?
goodu question, in midfield, with Cleverley or Anderson, i do wonder if we'll sign him this month or not, because the manager did refuse to answer the question, he could aslo help the younger players as well.
I think at times out midfield is flat and lacks any spark. He would give us a solution to that albeit on a short term basis. Don't get me wrong i don't think he is the answer to our prayers but would provide us extra depth at no real cost.
