Yeah, cause your banter is never repetitive or tedious, eh? At least I'm introducing some new facts to the mix.
I checked out these numbers. Twitter say that tweets about the Paralympics were normally #paralymipics, whereas tweets about the Olympics were #Olympics #TEAMGB, #Wiggo, #Ennis, #Bolt, #Farah etc, which makes the figures inaccurate, as the Olympics were by far the most tweeted about sporting event. In fact, they were the second most tweeted about thing in the world, after the US presidential election. And the biggest single tweeted event(or 'spike') was Usain Bolt winning the 100m. The second most tweeted about sporting event was the Euro's. The top ten most tweeted about things in Britain in 2012 included seven sporting events, none of them included specific football clubs(other than international teams in the Euro's) and the other three were X-Factor.
Don't see how any of that (or Amber Magic's tedious parroting) affects Leeds being the fourth most discussed club.
I didn't really care about your desperate attempt to try and prove your stil a big club, I was just contesting the ridiculous suggestion that the paryalmpics was the most tweeted about sporting event in 2012. Which I've now done.
What's truly desperate is the supporters of an inferior club trying to degrade Leeds United - a club whose fans really don't mind the smaller Yorkshire sides - by any means whatsoever, whether that's by personal slurs against our fans, unsubstantiated and thoroughly discredited lies about our greatest ever manager, or gauche gloating about your one period of semi-notability which hasn't even included silverware. Hull fans on your forum couldn't even be happy for their home county getting the Grand Depart of the Tour De France... because guess which maligned city is hosting it. You're a good poster OLM, but a victim of exposure to the stupidity of the masses. Collectively, I think the Targers should do themselves a favour, pipe down and show some respect to their betters.
On the contrary, I love the way Hull fans hate Leeds, because it makes things interesting. I don't want a boring world where everyone respects each other. But it doesn't mean I can fathom the singularly bizarre and rabid one-way hatred that ensues from it. Most of you yes, but a persistent few were being utterly graceless and weirdly partisan about it. Some bloke saying he doesn't consider Hull part of Yorkshire because Leeds got the main focus... just strange.
I'm pretty sure he means that fella on here that just posts 'YAWN' all the time. Not just someone he knows called Marcus.
Your by a mile the most hated club in the Football League though which is probably why your discussed most.
Leeds' press officer has more followers than Hull's official account. As does the @LUFC official account which was opened under a fortnight ago. Just a couple of stats there for all you Twitterers in the house.
