We are Hull City these things always happen to us, you know its gonna be between us and them in that last game for the title and they'll score an injury time winner!!!! You know it will happen.
Don't you just love these glass half empty supporters! (Well, credit to Geo at least for having us up for the title in the final game of the season).
i am glad that you think that millwall, bolton and brighton away will be easy. it's a cliche but such is the competitive nature of the best league in the world, there are no easy games in this division
By competitive you mean mediocre. Only 2 Englishman in the City side against Leeds mussy, disgusted or supportive of our cucumber pickers?
Blackburn will click one of these days too- they've already done us once this season Don't think we should be counting our chickens against them (see what I did there?)
I think Millwall without Woods will nosedive back to their standard of last season, Brighton just got thumped 3-1 at home by Watford and they are not the team they were earlier this season. The loss of CMS will further deplete them and although they want Austin I think they'll have to lower their sights like all the play-off hopefuls. Bolton have been nothing this season and a class below us. When we play them chances are they will only have mid-table obscurity to aim for.
I'd expect us to win all of those games apart from Brighton and Bolton away, in which I think we'll get a draw!
AGREED. Though the Derby and Charlton Home games WILL BE POSTPONED IF City get through to the FAC 5th round.!!!!
mILLWALL IS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE TO WIN AT FOR hULL cITY. nOT BEEN DONE IN DECADES. tHEN GAIN b IS HAVING A GOOD SEASON AT BREAKING THESE DUCKS. nOW THAT WOULD NE NICE. Blackburn were very lucky against us. Indeed John.
not in memory but last game of 1909/10 was the same but for second/third to first division we lost 0-3 and lost out on promotion
Obviously there was the Burnley match were we won 2-0 to stay down on goals scored in the 80s. Gutted.
I think we might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves on this thread........ It's not the despair. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.
I predict that no other championship club will bother to make a signing in the January window and that no team outside the current top 6 will mount a charge in the second half of the season. Don't write off the likes of Bolton and Blackburn.
There's no easy games in this league and I think Millwall away and Brighton away will be particularly tough - I'd take a point from each of those two now.
Well remembered my learned friend, but to assert "We are Hull City these things always happen to us" when the last time was over a century ago seems to be over-egging the pudding somewhat, as I'm sure you'll concur.
