Just who would the intelligentsia on here try to sign?

It seems that every name mentioned comes with a chorus of boos.

Those mentioned are labelled as sh!te, too old, too expensive, won't perform, won't come, etc, etc.

Got to be a bit of both.

Approach the remainder of the year as if we are down but sign top championship players with a point to prove. If the miracle happens and we stay up then great. If we go down then we've got a team and group in place who by next season will be settled and put us in the best place for a promotion.

We need to find the new; Snodgrass, Pilkington, Lambert and Ashley Williams of the championsip.

Jack Hobbs- Just back from injury but is a very solid young defender and last year was in championship team of the year he will be useful for us next year whatever league we are in.

Bechio- Should of gone in for him start of the season when they were broke.

Chris Eagles- Assists need to come from someone other than Adel and he is a good set piece taker

Charlie Austin: Goals. Might end up being a Beckford or a Earnshaw but also might end up doing what Holt and Lambert have done

Agree with your theory but I can't see us doing that

I can see us signing more big fading names or overseas players in a forlorn attempt to stay up

Personally I would recall DJ and hulse. Also start playing hogan

Sell SWP Park bothroyd AJ granero & Ferdinand

When is Zamora slated to return from injury ?

I think we should take some chances on some Championship players that are currently on form, surely a risk worth taking the risk, might get some good value plus they got nothing to lose seeing as they are going up a league....

It's tricky as being bottom and heading down who would sign for us -

    - mercenaries after a big pay day
    - fading ageing names after a big payday
    - young aspiring championship level players
    - foreigners who havent got a clue but just happy to be in the prem

I like Arry but unearthing young up and coming players isn't his style
He'll go for the diames or dawsons and I think that will finish us off

More importantly is a big clear out starting with bosingwa

    I still stand by this

As too the actual players I'm unsure to be honest, I'll send my scouts out to take a look and see what they come back with ;)

Hopefully Messi will get bored of the Spanish weather and fancy a proper challenge!

I think he is going to think short term i.e. survival, which means ageing but trusted players. Joe Cole looks likely but just cant see why we'd need him. Personally I think we desperately need someone to get get a hold of our midfield so really Lampard or Parker (or both) would be ideal. Could see Crouch doing good job for us up front, not sure about who we could get at CB, Dawson always looks a bit shaky to me.
