Like it or not, we're in a much better position now with MA than we would have been if FS was still in charge.

First off we're not one of the top clubs so you need to get realistic on that front. Secondly you need to understand how free transfers work and the trade offs you make to secure them. You either give Demba the clause he wants or he goes elsewhere. Unless you're a Man U or Chelsea you don't get a say in that. Chill out mate, we'll be fine and there's a long way to go. The window hasn't even opened yet and no business has been done, yet you're already jumping off the deep end. These Debuchy/Ba deals are not confirmed and no more sure to go through than they were in the summer.

I seem to remember the BBC/Sky Sports pages were littered with "fees agreed" then.

I think they will but I expect there will be a few deals done.

The only thing that concerns me is that if Ba does go to Chelski to sit on the bench, who will we replace him with?

I'm worried that with Shola, Sammy, Papiss, Nile and the ginger-kid, we're not going to replace him. <yikes>

I agree they will need to sign someone because you just know if we don't, Papiss will be injured 1st game in Feb! Then we really do have a problem and a gamble gone wrong. This Remy deal looks like their move but who knows.

I suppose you've forgotten Mike Ashley was in charge when we were relegated?

    He won't go.

Will ruin my dream team if he does and just warms the bench at Chelsea.

I´m afraid he´s using NUFC as a stepping stone to get to a `bigger`club & get more money. He did the same thing in Germany when he played for Hoffenheim, he left them as soon as he knew a prem club wanted him & now he´s in a rush to leave now one of the ´big 4´wants him. I guess that´s his right.

To be honest, I'm not really arsed if he goes or not. Yes he's been a good player for us and scored **** loads of goals, but for every goal he's scored I reckon there's another 2 chances that we could have quite easily scored from had he not been so ****ing greedy and passed to one of his team mates. I know strikers are selfish and I'm all for that to a certain extent, even more so if he was playing as a lone striker, but most of the time he's got his fellow countryman up front, and sometimes in a better position than him. I reckon we'll blossom without him, and I don't think we will let him go without having secured a replacement.

One other thing of note, as per the usual for MA transfer dealings...we can expect the full whack up front and we will reciprocate with whoever we bring in which is always an attracted feature to the way the club like to do business...just my opinion.

I think the club have taken a very good stance on the whole release clause situation. I think we should have maybe taken it a bit sooner, perhaps last summer but better late than never I guess.

The DeBuchy deal looks like its nailed on, and if we do bring another CB in and Remy, and manage to keep hold of everyone else except Ba it'll be a decent window for us I reckon, and with HBA, Cabaye, Taylor, etc back in the New Year we should be well equipped to start picking up some reasonable points I feel.

According to SSN, his representatives say he won't be joining Chelski after 'unproductive' talks.

I am going to guess Liverpool, QPR and one of the Turkish clubs sniffing around in the summer.

We just need this sorting imo. We don't want him going last minute leaving us no time to replace him, our season could hinge on this really
