Amos 6 - He has been very shaky and has cost us a lot if goals
Stockdale 8 - only with us for a few games but was impressive
Jakupovic 7 - Only played a few games but has been comfortable!

Rosenoir 6 - Hasn't played much really but if he had played more he would have had a larger score
    Elmo 9 - Fantastic
Chester 10- Best defender we will ever have, best defender in the league, should be playing in the Premier League!
A.Bruce 7- He has been solid, proved many, including myself, wrong
Faye 9- Beast. Doesn't have many faults and is a goal theat too!
McShane 7 Has been better this season, he still isn't the best player but he has done his job!
Hobbs 8- We have missed him. He has been very good since he has been back!
Daws 4 - Not much to say really!
Dudge 6- I'm sure if he didn't get injured, it would have been more.
Brady 8- He has been a much better player than last season. He has been a constant threat, in which I have been impressed!

McKenna 3 - Hardly played- thankfully!
Evans 8- He has been fantastic this season, much better than the last two!
Koren- 8 - He has been very good but not consistent enough!
Cairney- 5 He hasn't played much really
Oli 6- He was great for a couple of games but then somehow switched off!
Quinn- 10 How did we get him for 100k? He has totally turned up around completely, absolutely fantastic!
Meyler 8- Hasn't played that well but has scored goals, which is the ultimate aim in football I suppose!

McLean 6- Great in the cup, but once again his finishing has been poor and will probably be sold in January!
Simpson 7- Great at the start of the season but has really dropped off, he should have scored 3 times what he has done this season, he has done well for assists this season though!
Aluko 10- I still wonder to myself, how did we get him? He should be playing in the Premier League and will be soon(with us)!
Proschwitz 6- I'm sure he will come good eventually, he should have been playing more and if he had, then I think he would have got about 6 or 7 goals so far!

Very harsh on Mckenna - I thought he was outstanding last season for us and from what I saw did an excellent job for us at Hillsborough -just happens to be well down the pecking order now.

Quinny for me, along with Elmo, Aluko have been truly awesome signings.

Seems a little harsh on Daws and Kenna considering they've barely played and when they have they've done alright, with the exception of Kenna's silly sending off at Donny. I'd say Chester 9, as he's made a couple of mistakes, although they were early on in the season and he's looking his usual self now.

Daws - 4 (again not played enough)
Dudge - 7 (did well but he can't have more than a 7 for playing a third of the season)

    McKenna - 3 (see Dawson)
    Evans - 7
    Koren - 7
Cairney - 6 (due to injury)
    Oli - 5

    Amos - 7
    Stockdale - 8
    Jakupovic - 8

Rosenior - 6 (done a good job when called upon, higher score if he'd have played more I'm sure)
    Elmo - 8
    Chester - 9
    Bruce - 7
Hobbs - 8 (Playing like he never had the injury)
    Faye - 8
    McShane - 7
Dawson - 4 (lack of game time, congrats to him on reaching his testimonal year with us)
Dudgeon - 6 (shame he got injured, made a fine start to the season)
Brady - 8 (Streets ahead of the player we saw last season)
Mckenna - 4 (Like Daws, a lack of games but has done a solid job when called upon)
Evans - 8 (Another player stepping up his game this season)
    Koren - 7
Cairney - 6 (Again lack of real game time, we will see more of him this 2nd half of the season)
Oli - 5 (Good start but his performances tailed off badly)
    Quinn - 10
    Meyler - 8

Mclean - 6 (Crucial goal against The Wendies and lots of effort but not prolific enough)
Simpson - 7 (Goals have dried up a little but still creating some assists)
    Aluko - 9
Proschwitz - 6 (won us 3 points against Ipswich but not had much chance to do much else apart from the odd sub appearance. His time will come I'm sure).

Player of the season so far - 1. Quinn 2. Elmo 3. Faye (plenty of contenders!)

For me, the only player I'd give 10 is Aluko, with Quinn and Chester close behind on 9.

Aluko gets 10 for entertainment but he's a long way off the finished article. The last two games are a perfect example, great stuff on the ball outside the area but it comes to nothing. Not involved in the goals or any real chances even...

Could I just say that I'd give Steve Bruce an eleven, without him we wouldn't have Aluko, Quinn, Elmo, Faye, Bruce or Prozzy, who I'm certain WILL come good, and without these players were would we be in the table right now?

He's involved in the goals to an extent. He's our top goalscorer <doh>

No way is McKenna a 3, he's obviously finished with us and I expect him to be gone in January, but other than Donny, he's done a good job.

Seriously, how are Bruce, McShane, Faye scoring 7? They have been exceptional when back in the team definite 8s. Hobbs scores an 8 based on 2.5 games? Harsh, very harsh.

(low score = not played enough) ? On that basis how is Hobbs scoring an '8' on most peoples list? Consistency required!

I meant in those two games. I just think we're getting a bit carried away with Aluko, he's obviously got a lot to offer but I don't think he does enough inside the area, neither does anyone else mind.

Depends what you're basing it on. Charlie has some massive hatred of McKenna for some reason but I gave him a 4 simply because he's hardly played and that isn't a good season is it?

Disagree with the first part but yeah you're right about Hobbs, he should have a 7 on mine really.

You can only rate a player on his performances when he does play, it's not his fault if the manager doesn't want him, on that basis McKenna has rarely let us down and should definitely score higher than Oli.

Because it's a 'season rating' I understood it as how good their season had been. Dawson, McKenna etc. might be in the form of their lives but if they aren't playing they're having a bad season.

Then why give Dudgeon a 7?

Well I explained it in the post, but I estimated he'd played about a third of the season before his injury and done well in that time. Still played a lot more than Dawson, Oli, McKenna and Proschwitz I think and he was one of our better players when he was fit.

Dudgeon has played 11 games for us this season.

McKenna has played 11 games for us this season.

Olofinjana has played 12 games for us this season.

I think maybe you should have a rethink...

Perhaps scoring criteria should be based on number of starts rather than giving a high score to your favourite player with the caveat that he hasn't had much game time becomes meaningless.
How can Hobbs be an 8 when he has only played a handful of matches

I think Fryatt should be a 10+ as he has done nothing wrong in any match this season.
