Lampard in his interview after the Chelsea game when asked what his future holds said he hopes to be involved with a winning team.....so that rules us out anyway. At this point I really want us to start again with younger hungry players that haven't earned their reputation yet and will be happy to play their hearts out for us. Lampard is a class player and could do a job for a year maybe but at what price...and then having to replace him. As bad as we've been this season I still held out hope we could survive as the 5 point gap was definitely closable. But we've gone through all the winnable games lately with 1 win and now have some hard games coming up. This 8 point gap could be getting bigger very soon.
